Don't say it in a demeaning, insulting or negative tone. I am all woman, this is true. I like pretty toes, lovely nails, delicate clothing, soft things, tending house and I prefer it when men open the doors for me. Everyone who knows me, know that I don't like to nag, I don't have moods during my time of the month, there isn't a jealous bone in my body, arguing isn't in my nature, I don't raise my voice and I cry when my feelings are hurt. But, on duty I am commanding, outspoken, and forceful. In uniform or at work with men, my gender should not be a factor or come into question standing beside men. It is hard to believe that for as many years I have been on the job, there can still be men who see my blonde hair, boobs and small frame as a sign of weakness and still consider me incapable of being equal. But here is the kicker. It is so worth it to see the looks on the doubters faces when I show them what for as I keep up with the energetic small dogs. I am considered a Big Dog and will outwork the pups who think that a young age and male gender is all the rage. I'm still here and I am not ready to be put out to pasture. Off duty I am 100 percent woman. On duty, I am a capable person willing to put all genders aside and get the job done. The next time one of my colleagues says "Are you sure you can do that, you're not afraid of breaking a nail, are you? I am going to junk punch him. |
