Gift PremiumOdd yet delightfully intriguing. Morbid yet very very sweet. Sarcasm is part of who I am.....deal with it.

Friday, April 5, 2013, 2:07:55 AM- Things "Not" to say to a single person.
I went to the doctors on my lunch break and returned to work. One of the Captains asked what was wrong. It turns out that I have an ear infection, sinus infection and still running a fever. So he says "You should go home" Ok, go home? Why? I am just going to lay on the sofa and do nothing.....lol. Anyhoo....here is the small conversation that a secretary had with me after the Captain left. It didn't last long. Secretary: Go home and get pampered, you're sick Me: I am just going to lay on the sofa and do nothing. I will be fine, I'll make some soup later. Secretary: You live alone? Me: Yes. Secretary: That must really suck big time! It's nice having someone to take care of you. Me: Really? Weren't you the same woman who bitched, moaned, complained and whined last month because your husband didn't do shit for you when you had your tonsils out? Secretary: *silence* Ok, 1st off: Don't tell a single person that it sucks to be single. Even if at times, it does...we don't want to hear it. 2nd: If you are married, don't compare your lives to a single person, because more than most times, we will remember and remind you of all the bitching you do about being married. 3rd: Single people are quite capable of taking care of themselves. If we didn't know how, we wouldn't be single...we would be dead! 4th: Don't say something to put me down while I am sick. I might cough on you. Time to put my ear drops in....that's if I can do it all by myself! Soup time....

1: The 60's blog challenge made me giggle so much! All of you were far out!! I am still amazed that all of you let me torture you (Pony's words...lol) and also happy that you want to have as much fun as I do. Please make sure you visit the late entries. It means so much to the players to be seen. Thank you all again so much! Here are some big kisses for everyone. 2. Thank you for the well wishes. I wasn't on for very long tonight but I did check my emails and smiled at them all. I even got some "Get Well" virtual flowers. It was very touching. I still have a fever and the damned throat hurts...but oh well...I just have to wait it out. Keep the jokes coming. Laughter is the best medicine. Again, I want to say. Time for bed...work tomorrow...Night!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 3:45:42 AM- Now I know why..... :(
I left work early, which isn't like me at all. When I got home I started chatting on the phone and for the first time EVER EVER, I fell asleep on the person I was chatting with. Waking up from the accidental nap, I realized why I had been icky and tired all day....my throat hurts now, I have a fever and my body aches. Man! I haven't been sicky poo in years. Freaking germs! At least I fell asleep because I am fighting something. My sister T falls asleep on the phone constantly! Sick or not, tired or not...she falls asleep. She was tested for Narcolepsy and was negative. So it proved that she just doesn't give a shit who she is talking with...lol. When I was a teenager, the rotary phones were in the homes and if someone on the other end didn't hang up, the phone was useless!...lol. We were always waiting for her to wake up and hang the dang phone up. I'll suck it up. It is soup time and blankie time for me. Good Night.

I was a little girl in the 60's, but I do remember my teen sisters wearing Doily Crochet dresses, head bands and hip hugger pants. I am drawn to many styles of clothing and some of that clothing is still fashionable today. Lace Doily Dresses and Hip Hugger pants are a part of my wardrobe...lol "WARD! You were a little hard on my Beaver!" Let us begin this trek with Leave it to Beaver 1957-1963. Later on in life I would relate to June Cleaver. This is my version of an up to date June. During this era, women were being told to leave the kitchen and seek the free world. "Get out of the kitchen" they said! So the women got out of the kitchen and wanted freedom of expression. Hip Huggers were part of the rage. Belly buttons could be seen everywhere and on everyone! Even the men! I'll try to channel Joanie Mitchell as a folk singer. Besides the belly baring jeans, Crochet Doily dresses were worn and there wasn't anything left to the imagination. They were free flowing and sunny. Part of the hippy generation were the folk singers. This was one of their looks. I am about to let it all ll hang out. "Are we going to San Francisco? I'll make sure to wear flowers in my hair" The daisy was a sign of peace, beauty, freedom, love and cheerfulness. It would be the flower that was used more often within a generation. Peace to All..... I had fun walking around and picking the daisies in the fields out here and stringing the together for this challenge. What fun I had remembering watching my sisters string daisies. Monday, April 1, 2013, 9:47:43 PM- The man who was dismissive
Today was the appointment with the officer who assumed I was a "just a silly little woman" He was on time and waiting. He offered his apologies and said that he felt small after he left the office. It is nice that he acknowledged the mistake. If he hadn't of pointed it out, I would have done it at the end of the appointment. Through the entire 30 minutes he was in "ass kissing" mode. I don't normally enjoy having my ass kissed 'unless it is in a sexually intimate setting', but this time I allowed it. I could have reamed him good, but why? One day, maybe, possibly I might need something for the benefit of my job. When I tired of having his tongue up my ass, I dismissed him, we shook hands and I bid adieu to the butt head. What a good day it is!

Monday, April 1, 2013, 4:01:04 AM- I ask myself
Was it a good day? You bet! Did I relax? Definitely! Did I do some shopping for just me? I certainly did! Were there emails or calls from family? No and thank the lord! Are my sons calling me later? They better! lol...(such a Mommy) How was the weather? Cloudy, drizzly, sunny and breezy....yeah! How many times did the phone ring from someone needing assistance? ZERO! Am I enjoying the crisp cold air tonight? It smells amazing! Is it time for dinner? Yes, it is! Toodles! One last question? Did you have a good day?

Sunday, March 31, 2013, 6:06:45 PM- What ever happened to the programs on tv that matched holidays of the year?
Why are movies like; The Wizard of Oz, Dirty Dancing, Godzilla, Cat Woman and various Batman movies on the TV today? Now, I don't watch all that much television, but there are certain times of the year in which I look forward to specific movies. Today of all days, movies like; The Ten Commandments, Charlies Browns Easter Beagle, The Easter Parade or maybe The Greatest Story Ever Told should or could be on. I gave up on television years ago and just in time is appears. It is replete with so called reality shows. Thank goodness for Netflix, The Indie Channel and HBO. Okay, rant over. To everyone: Enjoy your Easter Services, egg hunts, easter baskets and ham dinners.
