......my boss calls and tells me the weather is too terrible for me go into work. Now this doesn't happen much cause I only work 7 min from home but the weather here is absolutely FRIGHTFUL. You cannot see past the end of your nose never mind see where the road is.

So its a 4 days weekend for me...........yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Its Friday and I am soooooo happy. Felt like this week was never gonna end (even with yesterday off).

Somebody just try and wipe this smile off my face.....I got "THE SWEETEST" PM this morning and I am brimming over ever since.....

It's a "snow day" for the kids today. Looks fine now but they are calling for some nasty stuff including freezing rain this afternoon so buses were cancelled as a result. Normally I would ship my kids off to the sitter for the day but today I decided I would call in and tell my boss I am staying home.

Hockey playoff's have had me running in 10 different directions in what seems to be 7 days a week. Everything is suffering at home as a result. Laundry piling up...the plants are parched...the fish need cleaning.....the house OMG needs cleaning (for starters)...but the kids are happy so I have looked past everything else. Today is the day.....gonna take it easy and catch up and maybe chat and who knows what other kind of trouble I can into.....

What a night. Rain, snow, rain snow....and that 1/2 way in-between stuff all night long and now into this morning also. I was very much looking forward to having a quiet weekend at home complete with some time to relax, time to catch up on household stuff and naturally some time to chat.

Seems the heavy snow caused power failures starting early in the evening so I had no choice but to relax and do stuff but DAMN....I could not chat in nn with the computer being down. Haven't been in on a Sat night for a few weeks (

No hockey today so I have the whole day to myself....watch out chat room.......cause here I come......meet ya there *winks*!!

What an incredibly busy but fun day. My oldest daughter had an out of town hockey tournament yesterday so I was up at the crack of dawn and even got to watch the sun rise. It was incredible. I took some pics and have one here to share.



As for hockey we had an ok day. Lost our first game to a team that has been undefeated all season. It was a fast/good game and we only lost by 1 point. The second game we won despite the antics of the other team. Parents in the stand could be heard clearly instructing their children to "hit to hurt" our kids and especially go after the girls on the team. They were tripping, slashing, elbowing, hitting from behind it was awful. At one point even one of the moms from the other team yelled after a goal F**K off....while my 6 yr old was sitting almost at her feet. At the risk of sounding as low class as her I promptly removed my child and expressed my "displeasure" at her language while a young child was present. By this time my daughter was in tears and telling me she wanted to leave. I think the woman felt bad - rightfully so!!

Our third game was a heartbreaker and we ended up losing in over-time. What a game though!!! With a 3-3 tie at the end of the third the tournament rules for OT were 1 min each of 4 on 4, 3 on 3, 2 on 2 and then 1 on 1. We played it right to 1 on 1 and ended up coming up short.

I am exhausted today and trying to get caught up on household stuff but I think I will pop in and chat for a bit before I do. Hope you all had a great weekend.
