Wednesday, September 1, 2004, 8:58:20 PM- A man, an ostrich, and a cat
A man walks into a bar with an ostrich and a cat and sits at the bar. The bartender walks over to them and says, "What can I get for you?" The man says "I'll have a beer", the ostrich says, "I'll have a beer", and the cat says, "I'll have half a beer and I'm not buying." So the bartender says, "OK, that will be $3.87." The man reaches into his pocket and brings out the exact change and pays him. About an hour later the bartender goes back over to them and says, "What'll you guys have?" The man says, "I'll have a beer", the ostrich says, "I'll have a beer", and the cat says "I'll have half a beer and I'm not buying." The bartender gets them their beer and says "That'll be $3.87." The man reaches into his pocket and brings out the exact change and pays him. A couple of days later they come back into the bar and the bartender walks over and asks "What do you guys want today?" The man says, "I'll have a scotch", the ostrich says, "I'll have a bourbon", and the cat says, "I'll have half a beer and I'm not buying." So the bartender says "OK, that will be $7.53." The man reaches into his pocket and brings out the exact change and pays him. The bartender's curiosity got the best of him and he asks, "Why is it that every time I tell you the amount you owe you always have the exact change in you pocket?" The man said, "I found a bottle with a genie in it and she granted me 3 wishes. My first wish was that I always have the exact change in my pocket for anything I buy." The bartender says, "That's a great wish...better than asking for a million dollars. A million dollars will run out but that never will. What were your other 2 wishes?" The man says, "That's where I screwed up. I asked for a chick with long legs and a tight pussy."

Tuesday, August 31, 2004, 3:13:39 PM- Shout it Out
The open eye sees so much more but many times the ears are closed and the heart is locked There is a quote out there that states “When you Love someone, tell them, you may not get a second chance” What can it hurt to try, even if you are afraid, you don’t control when, how or who you fall in love with, nor where your emotions may take you. It may not always turn out like you like and that may hurt but at least the person knows how you feel and sometimes that can be a load off of you. Even if they turn you down, you should still be nice to them. It may be strange for a while and your feelings may never go away and that person may avoid you. There is always the chance that they may avoid you as well, which is unfortunate but sometimes it just human nature sadly enough. Then again it may turn out exactly how you like and that can make all the difference in the world. You never have the possibility of receiving something great if you never take the risk. As I mentioned in one of my other blogs, be prepared to face anything, even the answer you are looking for It’s weird how awkward we can make such simple things. Hopefully things will go good when you do tell someone and that person will receive you well. It’s hard to hold it in and it can only consume you if you do. Let the person know, it may be tough and scary but it may enhance both their and yours life. And as always, Keep an open mind

Monday, July 12, 2004, 11:56:28 PM- Nothing in particular
Well, I hadn't blogged in a while and thought I would talk about nothing in particular. Went fishing this weekend, caught a couple of croaker, but it was a slow fishing day. Got sunburned a little but I'll live, lol. Rented two movies, Buttefly Effect and Eurotrip both of which I liked. I thought Old School was a better movie than Eurotrip. Other than that, that was my weekend. Hope everybody had a better weekend than me.

Tuesday, June 22, 2004, 2:39:41 AM- Believe What you Will
I’m so tired of not being able to say what I want to say. I agree that society needs rules to survive but for those who have the ability to open there minds and change perspective, they are special and few in between. When a kindred spirit touches you there is nothing like it, the power of that person, when united with others of the same philosophy, they are a force to be dealt with. Who do you trust though, who do you fear, why fear? I myself am fortunate to have found a few good people in which I have confidence and have confided in. However it is challenging at times for me. I listen to those few and we may not always see eye to eye but I truly respect their opinions and beliefs. It is one of the few ways we learn. In these past couple months I have learned that it takes a truly strong person to go against the grain but it can also be a lonely process as well. Now there are some who will read this and think, oh it is just another Idealist yammering about things that he has yet to experience. My age is not that young but yet it is as well. True I have so much more to learn but my spirit is old. I am going on the advice of one who shares an open mind and holding myself in check at the moment but it is tough to do so. I thank those who have listened to me and have advised me on different matters. I believe that we have fallen victim to rules of society and have conformed a little to much. There need to some level of conformity but we must recognize when we need to challenge it. My only hope is that my strength will allow me to continue what I believe in and that I will not fall victim to all the rules. I leave you with this question, When you think that it is the right time, will you still think it is the right time 10, 20, 30 years from now. You can’t be impulsive all of the time, but you can feel and knowing when to follow the impulse and when to restrain is a difficult challenge. Master that and you will have an inkling of an Idea of how to live. After all it is our feelings that give us the strength to fight and that has given humankind reason to challenge beliefs and alter them.

Monday, June 21, 2004, 8:49:59 PM- Stupid Day
Well, it started off good then finished with me becoming aggravated. When I was finishing up this one job, I moved back and my pants got snagged by a piece of metal and ripped a small hole in them, Now I have to go buy new pants and then When I went to pick up some equipment later on today, I went around to the passenger side of my truck and saw that somebody had keyed the passenger door. I think it must have been kids just fucking around but it's enough to piss you off. So after I go shopping this afternoon, I'm going home and gonna finish off the Johnny Walker black label and watch the Last Samuri. Might as well try to finish off the day happy.

Monday, June 21, 2004, 1:09:21 AM- Random Thoughts
1. The truth can be scary, liberating and confusing 2. When can a lie be good and when can it be hurtful? 3. Knowing what you want and not knowing the best way to reach what you want can be frustrating. Dont give up, modify if you have too. 4. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. but do try to improve on it. 5. Live life to the fullest and value those that you care about and that care about you. 6. Open your mind and open those around you, while still knowing you can learn from others 7. Why can we give so much to others and be so harsh to our family? 8. Find at least one person that will tell you the way things are, straight up, even when you don’t want to hear it and don’t be angry at that person, they are a true friend. 9. Risk everything at least once in your life and do it without regrets 10. Remember to tell people when you change because they may not know or realize.

Thursday, June 17, 2004, 6:41:18 PM- You Need To Have A Bad Day To Get Into Heaven
It got crowded in heaven, so, for one day it was decided only to accept people who had really had a bad day on the day they died. St. Peter was standing at the pearly gates and said to the first man, "Tell me about the day you died." The man said, "Oh, it was awful. I was sure my wife was having an affair, so I came home early to catch her with him. I searched all over the apartment but couldn't find him anywhere. So I went out onto the balcony, we live on the 25th floor, and found this man hanging over the edge by his fingertips. I went inside, got a hammer, and started hitting his hands. He fell, but landed in some bushes. So, I got the refrigerator and pushed it over the balcony and it crushed him. The strain of the act gave me a heart attack, and I died." St. Peter couldn't deny that this was a pretty bad day, and since it was a crime of passion, he let the man in. He then asked the next man in line about the day he died. "Well, sir, it was awful," said the second man. "I was doing aerobics on the balcony of my 26th floor apartement when I twisted my ankle and slipped over the edge. I managed to grab the balcony of the apartment below, but some maniac came out and started pounding on my fingers with a hammer. Luckily I landed in some bushes. But, then the guy dropped a refrigerator on me!" St. Peter chuckled, let him into heaven and decided he could really start to enjoy this job. "Tell me about the day you died?", he said to the third man in line. "OK, picture this, I'm naked, hiding inside a refrigerator...."
