We have re-engineered the rating system. Votes are now out of 10 and the average vote (after 10 votes have been placed) is the rating. Much more simple to understand!

Well we finally put up a bigger chat room tonight - so it's now much easier to keep up with the goings on when there are a lots of people in the room.

We have made some pretty big improvements with the database speed so you will have (hopefully) noticed that the site is running much faster now. That coupled with the new servers has meant that we have some pretty major days!

For the geeks amongst us we are serving about 1.75 MILLION web pages per day!!!

That would mean probably 50 or so times that in images, so something like 50 Million images being pumped out of her each day!

Well we have now had the new servers nearly two weeks and while there has been a big improvement, we have been let down by our new ISP who decided to upgrade their network at the same time! This has resulted in some instability in the chat room and general slowness at times.

The good news it that problem appears to be resolved, and the performance will really ramp up next week when we do some more optimisation of the Databases.

Apart from that - we are having a heat wave and I am loving every minute of it!!

Well some of you guys might have noticed that the site has been, well how should we say, a little "flaky" lately. It's all for good reason, because we are having a huge amount of traffic to the site and the infrastructure at the moment is barely coping.

Interesting because it doesn't seem that long ago that I was writing about this very same problem. It is a good problem to have and we are not complaining, in fact quite the contrary it means that we can justify going out and doing a serious upgrade

So for the techies amongst us and anyone else interested, we have just yesterday ordered SEVEN new 3GHZ Dual XEON NN servers and are going to commission them on a new larger capacity bandwidth arrangement.

This will mean that we can improve the speed of the database which is often a limiting factor, and also cope with higher amounts of simultaneous visitors!

All good news for you guys - and within I'd hope a 2 week period you should see the performance of the site increase markedly.

There have been significant changes to the chat room today.

We have established a code of conduct and a process for people to apply to be moderators. To co-incide with these changes we have set the moderators all to normal status.

We hope that these changes will see a much more enjoyable chat room for all members.

Well I have just returned from a trip to Miami to survey the place and assess it’s suitability for the NN member big bash get together.

While certainly a nice place, I must admit that I wasn’t as impressed as I expected, mainly because of the de-centralised nature of the place. My thoughts now are that due to less than exciting level of enthusiasm for the gig – we might hold off for another year until our member base is double the size

While I was there, I did have the opportunity to have an impromptu photo shoot with Penthouse Pet of the year, Sunny Leone.



In my profile you will see some of the pics from that shoot, and while I more than anyone know this site is for amateurs, I am posting the pics I took of Sunny out of thanks to her for letting me take them and use them for promotional purposes.
