For those of you that have been around a few years, you'll probably think I am being boring by saying - wow, but wow!
It feels like my life is flying past twice as fast because I have two annual reminders of the years passing, my personal Birthday and the site's.
I want to - as I no doubt do every birthday - start by saying thank you. Thank you to our loyal members, those that have recently joined, and those that have been with us 2, 3, 4 .. up to 8 years. Without you guys NN would be just another site, but it isn't. It is a living community where countless numbers of people meet lifelong friends and partners every day. It's somewhere in the world where you can walk around naked and not be afraid that you are offending someone or breaking some exposure law. It is somewhere that you can find the real side of humanity - raw - and dare I say naked. Thank you all once again for making this place what it is!
A very special thanks too to the Mods, you guys are great, and I will endeavor to cater to your needs more this year - hold me to that.
The past year has seen some great changes to the site, Status Updates, My NN Gallery, New Profile Search, and the Mobile site to name a few. I would have liked to have seen more improvements but we are a very small team here, and all changes however trivial they may seem from your perspective are a big deal. Thanks as always to NN-J for his great work
Let me make a promise, and that is that there will be way more changes and improvements in our ninth year of operation than there were in the eighth! We are going to "go nuts" this coming 12 months and really make a lot of great changes to the site. You'll see the first of these big changes within the next week or two.
We'll also be running a Birthday photo competition starting in a few days time for the rest of October - our birthday month.
Business wise it's been a tough year - everyone has been affected by the long drawn out GFC, let's hope that we all see an improvement this next 12 months.
I'd like to close by acknowledging those of you that took part in producing the Birthday video that put a big smile on my face this morning when I checked my PMs. Thanks guys and especially Masterstoy91 it was very thoughtful and I was touched! I'll be sure to put he video up where everyone can see it an link to it from here.
