Monday, May 21, 2012, 2:28:04 PM- Weekend
It's safe to say that I have reached the age of dragging myself to the office on a Monday due to insufficent weekend, rather than too much weekend, as was the case when i was younger... But having said that, this passed weekend was busy as can be, and with more than I usually drink on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and it has taken it's toll, the batteries are well and truely flat.... So is my problem too much weekend, or just not enough weekend... who the hell cares, I'm not gonna need much rocking tonight! -)

Not since 1987 have I spent so long out the office. It was due time, hours and associated stress take its toll on most and what a great time it was. Having three weeks where there was no agenda, no appointments, three glourious weeks where my time was only mine to do with as I wished. Oh to be able to do more of that. Then off to Cape Town we went, and after 10 days of good competiton and a well earned 4th place, it was over... And now, two days back in the office with a plie of queries, staff issues and all that time spent is like a million miles away.. and I wonder if it really worth it? Anyway, such is life. Kinda crap being a member of the working class! lol

And so we are sitting on the side of this mountain, our kids spent the easter weekend with us and my eldest daughter makes the point that if the weather turns nasty and we are house bound for a few days, her mother and I could kill each other out of boredom. Now we are by no means strangers to the mountains and the sometimes fickle weather, and have been house bound many times, but it seems, to my daughter at least, that we are incapable of occupying our time. Now whether or not there is any merit to her argument is not the purpose of this blog, but what is, is what she did to assist us with our possible predicament. A short while before they leave, I have need to fire up my laptop, yes I know, but work is never far away in this age of connectivity. Anyway, I digress. When, after the usual age it takes to boot up, I notice a new folder on my desktop marked "bad weather entertainment". Further investigation proves that 260 gigs of movies and things to watch have been supplied. Now, I have heard eldest daughter and friends talk of a tv series called "Dexter". Not really being a tv buff, I know nothing of this series, but I see that she has downloaded six, yes folks, six season of him, amongst other stuff, for our perusal, should we so desire. At the end of the easter weekend, the kids have to leave and travel the 7 to 8 hour trip home. It was youngest daughters birthday on easter Monday, so they decided to stay for monday night and would leave very early Tuesday morning to return home, as eldest had to work at mid day. So 3am we were up, and the two daughters with respective boyfriends, depart. Now we are very fortunate to live in a very well developed country in Africa, with good roads, generally, and modern infrastructure, mostly, but driving attitudes are, largely and sadly, third world. The reason for mentioning this is that for 4 to 5 hours of the journey home, they would have to travel some very dangerous roads, and as mentioned, whilst the road home is good and wide, some of the pricks that use it turn tonnes of metal into high speed lethal weapons. So this is the scenario, it is 3.30am, pitch dark, but clear skys, and our kids are slicing their way through the darkness homeward. As you can imagine, sleep for Mom and Dad is not a possibility at this time. So what to do? We reach for the laptop, set it up on the wife's vanity case between us, we snuggle down under the feather duvet and begin... with BlackBerry at my side, the kids and I keeping in touch on BBM.......Dexter, season one, episode one.... 8 hours later, the kids are safe...YAY.... and season one of Dexter is almost complete. The next few days are busy, unexpected guests, fantastic weather, and so on, untill yesterday, when by mid afternoon, the weather starts to turn and storms are predicted, so we batten down the hatches, bring in enough firewood and with steaming mugs of coffee for me and tea for her.....we fire up the laptop. Cut to 3am this morning......Dexter, season 2, done and dusted. What a deliciously evil man he is..... Ok, the two ladies in his life in season 2 were somewhat scrumptious too!! -))

You know when it comes to that time when going away is just around the corner and your mind is wandering, even though there is stuff to finish before you go? Well I am there. Four days left in the office, lots to do, but concentration is a problem. My mind keeps wanting kick into "prepare to shut down" mode, and I am so tempted to just let it happen! -) But since it will be mid May before I am back in the office, after time in the mountains I am off to Cape Town for 10 days to compete, I guess I had better just knuckle down and do some work. When looking back on a hoilday, or the visit of a loved one you have not seen in years, what is your favourite memory? Is it the actual holiday or visit? or is it the build up to it, the packing, getting ready, the night before you leave, making sure the car is in tip top condition etc? I tend to think, in retrospect, that the latter is my favourite, but enough of that thinking past the time already.. we are still enjoying the build up! Take care sexy people, back to the grindstone I must go... even briefly! -)

Sunday, March 25, 2012, 5:32:32 PM- Sunday, easy on my mind
It is Sunday, 19.25pm. What a lazy day it has been. Right now it is warm and humid. Sitting shirtless on the patio, glass of red wine at hand, two chickens on the weber... Yes, some who know me wi say "routine"... but it is my relaxing tool. Spent the day starting to sort out various things we need for a well earned retreat to the mountains where soul and body can rejuvenate themselves for 3 weeks. It has been two years since we have been up there.... Two busy years, between business and sporting commitments we have not allowed ourselves much downtime, and are paying the price. So in about ten days time we are falling off the end of the world for a short while. I am sure we will be in touch from there -))

Ok guys, so I am kinda excited about the new cam section. I think it is a great addition to our community and hope it gets used. Having said that, I have been wondering what makes and ideal cam session? To often cams are just a "crotch shot" of men jerking off. Surely we have a bit more imagination than that? Or am I completely wrong and this is what camming is about?
