The report says my family likely originated in Dublin. Need to plan a trip! My friends say this explains my love of the drink! lol Not so much my love of tequila though, but I wouldn’t turn a good whiskey away either. wink

Sounds entertaining, I'm going to do that!

I always prefer the Irish over Scotch whiskey. Wonder if theres a connection? I have a test lying around. Do you feel better or worse about it now that youve taken it?

Wow never heard of this test.

Ferry ride from myself or 30 mins in a plane, and lots of Irish here as we do have close ties. Yes I agree mrs the drink may be the crux of it pointing across the water to the Dublin bars. Take a hefty bank balance with you as they are so expensive there lol

I’m glad I did it. We thought my dad’s side of the family was from Ireland now we know it’s likely. We thought my mom’s side was from Germany, but since it says I’m only 4.2% French/German, I’m thinking we aren’t so much German. I find genealogy fascinating and I enjoy it, so I’m excited to see if I connect to distant family members.

23andMe also does a health analysis. That was interesting and also for me, reassuring. The only health risk I’m more prone to is Alzheimer which I already knew. Reassuring about everything and that I’m not a carrier of anything else. :)

Nice to see you're enjoying exploring the family tree. My family is traced back on both sides to when they arrived here in the mid 1700's. My first Grandfather on my Dad's side came from Ireland and he and his oldest son both fought in the Revolutionary War. Just like the Mel Gibson movie. lol I do enjoy a good whiskey.
