Well they couldn't do my Little Man's MRI, they tried two machines. He has braces behind his teeth, well not really braces but he has the metal wire(top&bottom) its just not adhered to each tooth.While they were prepping him for it, as soon as he laid down his head being right next to the machine he started talking a bit funny, then he said it hurt a little that he felt pressure behind his teeth. OMG the wire in his mouth! Usually it doesn't affect braces..full braces, they are nice and tight but not a spacer wire.The technicians said this machine is 3.0 Lets try Little Man on the 1.5 machine. So we go to the next room . He got strapped in, they put the view mask over his eyes so he could watch a movie(very cool!!) the helmet thingy came over his head. Ready. As the machine was sliding him in Little Man said every thing was fine. So far so good.1 minute and Little Man squeezes the ball in his hand making the alarm go off. Poor thing it was moving his spacer wire behind his teeth!.
Now I have to take him to the orthodontist and have them remove them so the MRI can be done. Its rather simple to take them off. Little Man was just seen there about 3 weeks ago to get an adjustment and we were surprised as to how easy they came off and were put back on. A little bit of discomfort and gum pressure but no pain. But now its a waiting game lol. I'm waiting for them to call with the appt for the MRI then I can take Little Man to the orthodontist. This means at least 3 half days off from school. What the hell.I would rather them be half days and not full days!lol. I feel bad too Little Man asked if he could have his Birthday off or at least get out early. I was considering it but not now.
Time for Breakfast Little Man just woke up!
