Sunday, January 3, 2010, 8:41:49 PM- mmmmm its Y2K10.
so "why? 2 k 10"??? because it marks another extrodinary date that I have been able to expierience throughout my passages of time. ---------------- though I have not explored other areas of the world, nor have I tapped into the wonders of the universe, nor have I possessed the riches like so many. I am just a human that has been blessed enough to say that I have seen and have expierienced during my lifetime the wonders of whats around me...I have seen the comets that will not be back in my time...I have seen the alignment of planets that wont be seen by me again...I have seen the suns closest neighbor that wont be seen in my time again...I have seen and counted 300 shooting stars in a single shower...I have felt an earthquake...and as for us humans, I have seen the passing of a great man that will never be able to fulfill his "dream"...I have seen humans walk on the face of a distant globe. I have seen the decay of our earth while it struggles to control its own demise but then again this HAS happened before roughly 65 million years ago it did. so 65 million years later I pray that I will not see the end in y2k40 or less. for the ice cap IS melting. and so the earth will need about another 65 million or more to sustain life again and so the cycle continues til the sun dries up. so much fer a newyears yeehaa message huh? ------------------- so as my years passby on these wintry nights I yearn the joy of frolicking in the snow again-I yearn the joy of building a snowman again. I yearn the sereninity I used to get gazing upon the snow covered ground reflecting stars on a full moons night, the forever glistening flakes of snow made from heavens light. so I yearn for the yesteryears from which I have lived, for there shall be no more that God can give. I live here in these parts that shows the most, the changes of winter that I'm ashamed to boast, for it is here on these wintry nights the changes that I have seen the most. I found a sled in a shop the other day, just like the one I used to sleigh, on those snow packed days from sunup til sundown, my clothes would be wet and mom would say I looked drowned. yet I'd sneek outside still cold and wet into the night, I'd lay down in the snow and gaze upon the glistning sight, feeling the peace and calm beneath heavens light. I could not help but think of the snow, for it so changed where I lived only once a year though. these were the yesteryears of my early life and parts I have seen over five times ten, I cannot deny the changes that I see and feel within, for it has become obvious its the beginning of the end. so I give thanks to God that Im still here in y2k10 while I wish for the end not to begin, for its a part of what I wish for and do pray, along with playing in the snow again. tfvmb. Sunday, December 27, 2009, 9:33:57 PM- a NN Christmas photo that's best removed.
Every year on Christmas day I visit the Christmas photo section and enjoy what others have taken the time to photograph and share here at NN during the holidays. so with that in mind I'd like to share with y'all my thoughts and opinions on the photo that I had found here on this Christmas day. but first off...I'm not very thrilled in meeting[in chat here and chat on th net] someone who has chosen to call themselves by the name or symbols used in reference to the devil. period. and so as I always do I express my disdane in the use of these names or references as a name chosen by them. and so after suggesting a name change all the reply that I mostly get is "its just a name" hmmmmm ok. now this brings me to my thoughts about "its just a name". I cannot help but realize that young people are showing that they have a sense of indifference sortof a neutral ground that they seem to be treading on. a sort of impassiveness that there is no harm in what they use as a name[in this case] for "its just a name". hmmmmm no harm no foul. I wonder what neutral ground would they walk if they were given the name "satan" or "666" or any of the other references that goes with it when they were born? hmmmm I shudder the thought. buuuut this is the internet, and so a name is just a name and believe you/me I have seen some doozies :O but if you wish to instil an indifference upon what you may call yourself then try and consider what difference it will make when you encounter a person such as myself or others who lives by the very nature of what that name or its references means when used. hmmmm no harm no foul?...I dont think so. so what thought of consequence do these people not realize when choosing a name that is held in the most contemptuous and/or ill manner throughout the world? I dont know the answer but Im quite sure that if I should call myself an "asshole" then people will think that I must be one. its human nature at its best y'all. we have names in reference too so that it can be best described and remembered by us all. so in my opinion when someone expresses disdane over what you have called yourself then it would be best that you pull your head out of the sand and look around and see what the world has in its opinion of the use of these and other foul names. so you think being indifferent or neutral may be the solution to living a peaceful life so long as you dont go one way or the other right? hmmm ok. so now with that in mind in choosing a name for yourself I'd suggest keeping your head in the sand and choose an indifferent or neutral name. because in my opinion you just crossed the line. good thing we all dont live our lives as these do, as I think of the video of the plane that crashed into the Patomac and a man jumping from a bridge into the icy river to save a womans life. hmmm thank God he didnt remain impassive, or neutral while the horror unfolded below...or the man sitting on a hilltop crying out to the Lord to come to him and help him find the truth and answers that he could not find on his own, and so the Lord came to him and gave him the answers that he so desperatly needed to hear. now I wonder what would have happened to this man if the Lord had remained indifferent or neutral or impassive and did not answer his pleas? I shudder the thought...For that man on the hilltop was me. now for this photo I found in the Christmas section...you chose the name "satan">followed by numbers< here at NN hmmm ok? then you posted a Christmas photo all dressed up with the tree and lights and all hmmmm ok? then on this photo you stamped your chosen NN name onto it. hmmmmm NOT OK! thats...NOT...OK!...NOPE! NADA! mm-mm period!! now I hope you heard that loud and clear because if you choose to flirt with the devil then you will pay the ultimate price. we dont celebrate Christmas just for the the fun of it and the gifts that we may receive. we celebrate the joy of the birth of Jesus Christ along with the tradition of giving gifts. and sooo if you should think otherwise, then I think its time to decide which ground you wish to tread? one or the other but not both. I left a comment, it was a frown no words no opinions no contacts to support but just a way of saying I wasnt happy with the most tasteless and irritating photo that I have ever seen in the "Christmas section" in hopes that someday in the near future that when you see my comment then you may venture over to this blog for answers. pardon my bad spelling. tfvmb...take care and BE SAFE!! this season. Indeed, you find the company of others very stimulating and enjoy meeting new people. Your relaxed demeanor in groups makes people around you comfortable too. Perhaps because you feel comfortable talking about yourself, others tend to enjoy being around you and perceive you as socially competent. The confidence that helps you feel comfortable talking to people also spills into your own personal beliefs about yourself. Although you have several strengths, it’s likely that you also acknowledge and accept your weaknesses. But unlike some people, you take full responsibility for your actions—you rarely regret things you’ve done in the past and are not embarrassed easily. Perhaps the defining feature that sets you apart from most people is the exceptionally high standards that you set for yourself. Your competence in social gatherings as well as at work should provide ample evidence for this. With these characteristics, it’s very likely that people come to you for advice and generally think of you as someone with leader-like qualities. Family Orientation As someone who is oriented to familial matters, you value the company of family-members and domestic life. If you have children already, you enjoy spending time with them very much and work hard to be a good parent. If you don’t have children, you very much desire having children in the future. And your preference for cooking and entertaining guests at home will likely ease the transition into parenthood. You take pride in maintaining and cultivating a healthy family and work hard to achieve this. This natural tendency is easily illustrated by your preference for doing things around the house as opposed to going out to clubs and restaurants. What really sets you apart from people that are low in family orientation is that you know how to manage your frustrations and work well on your own. This means that you are well-equipped to manage a family without letting all the work that is involved wear you down. However, as someone with strong family values, all the work that is involved in maintaining a tidy home and well-stocked kitchen might occasionally make it difficult for you to finish everything that you need to do. Self-Control The self-control personality dimension captures the way in which a person regulates and directs him or herself. Being low in self-control can be both good and bad. Occasionally people may be compelled to follow their intuitions and give in to their temptations, and your degree of self-control makes this likely to happen more often than not. This can be good in circumstances where being relaxed and open are important. However, in situations where it is necessary to be focused and careful, you might find that you do or say things that may be inappropriate. As someone who exerts little control over your actions, you may find that you commit social blunders that might offend other people and get yourself in trouble. For example, if you’re given responsibility to work on a project that requires close attention to detail, you may be likely to overlook important details because you have difficulty staying focused. Consequently, you might feel more comfortable delegating such tasks to other people who are more detail oriented. Being able to recognize such characteristics in yourself and having more detail-oriented people do such tasks could be an effective way to manage your own stress level. Low self-control may diminish your effectiveness at work. Acting too relaxed can make it difficult for you to focus on projects that require organized sequences of steps or stages. Thus, your ability to accomplish may be inconsistent. Indeed, it’s possible that you might be criticized periodically for being unreliable or unable to “stay within the lines.” Nonetheless, you may still experience many short-lived pleasures and never be thought of as boring. Openness As someone high in openness, you have a strong appreciation for beauty, both in art and nature. Indeed, it’s likely that you are easily absorbed in music and art, as well as natural phenomena. Another aspect of your openness is your emotional insight; that is, you probably have good access to and awareness of your own emotions. Another aspect of the openness dimension is the tendency to think about abstract concepts and ideas. This thinking style may take the form of artistic and metaphorical use of language, and/or music composition or performance. Thus, it is likely that, either in your work or spare time, you enjoy activities that get your “creative juices” flowing. Your tendency to be open-minded can have advantages and disadvantages. For instance, when there are no clear rules about how to approach a particular problem, your openness makes it easier for you to identify new ways to solve problems that might not be very obvious to people that are not as open as you are. In contrast, you may be bored easily in situations that lack high amounts of intellectual stimulation. In such cases, you might have difficulty excelling on projects that do not provide much stimulation or require much creative thinking. Easygoingness Easygoingness refers to one's ability to relax. Based on your score, you appear to work and play hard. The benefits of being moderate in easygoingness are that you achieve success through hard work, but you also know when and how to relax. Your colleagues and friends likely consider you as reliable and fun to be around. Being moderate in easygoingness can cause you some stress, however. For example, you may sometimes find it difficult to complete tasks thoroughly and efficiently, which can cause stress for both you and the people around you. You may occasionally experience stress by working hard to reach your goals, but you value having fun and just relaxing. Knowing how to balance both work and play is a gift, and you have the key ingredients for doing this. You have enough mental flexibility to think creatively and enough focus to implement those ideas well. This might be epitomized by your occasional difficulty focusing on subtle details, but the ease with which you’re able to adjust to changes in your life. As someone who is neither rigid nor careless, you likely get along with most people well. On the one hand, you recognize the value of working hard and therefore consider such qualities in others beneficial. On the other hand, you know how to relax and thus appreciate people that know how to do this too. Chances are your friends and colleagues perceive you as someone that works hard, but also knows how to have a good time. How does your personality affect your love life? With your strong degree of confidence, it’s no surprise that you get along well with most people. Indeed, it’s self-confidence that allows people to feel comfortable interacting with others without feeling insecure and vulnerable. For this reason, you shouldn’t have much difficulty in romance, at least not initially. Your social skills will likely help relieve any anxiety your romantic partners might have on those first few dates. However, over time, the high standards that you have for yourself could potentially frustrate your partner. Given how much you value family life, you probably get along best with people who share your values and beliefs. In fact, it’s likely that you maintain close connections with members of your immediate and distant family. For this reason, you would probably be most satisfied in a romantic relationship with someone who also values domestic life. Being in a relationship with someone who enjoys going out to parties and staying-up late at night might be fun, at least initially; yet it’s likely that you will find this tiring over time. Thus, it might be easier and more satisfying for you to develop a long-lasting relationship with a person who also enjoys spending time at home and desires starting a family. On first dates, perhaps you might suggest to your partner that the two of you spend a quiet night having dinner at one of your respective homes instead of going out to a restaurant or club. As someone who is more relaxed than most people, you’re likely be attracted to most people. However, your free-spirited nature might make being in a relationship with a person that is more rigid than you difficult because you might perceive the person as being too uptight and controlling. For this reason, you may ultimately be most satisfied in a relationship with someone that is shares your level of self-control. Your openness probably makes it easy for you to respect and appreciate people that are different from you. However, when it comes to romantic relationships, your openness might make it difficult for you to tolerate people that cannot appreciate diversity as much as you. Therefore, you may be happiest in serious relationships with people that share your open-mindedness. But, your openness might occasionally cause a certain degree of dependency on your end because you may be so open that you easily adopt the preferences and habits of your partners and gradually relinquish things that make you so unique." --------- "But, your openness might occasionally cause a certain degree of dependency on your end because you may be so open that you easily adopt the preferences and habits of your partners and gradually relinquish things that make you so unique..." -------- lol I dont think so...been there done dat...hmmm I wonder 'bout these phyco-analytical peeps??? /me reaches fer th NN bottle an pours hisself another round of hi y'all! ann winks too the room...."I am me sooo here I am...no more no less..." cheers peeps! tfvmb. this is a piece of an article from my homepage. "Banned words list... ...All those words and phrases are on Lake Superior State University's annual List of Words to Be Banished from the Queen's English for Mis-use, Over-use and General Uselessness. The 34th version of the list was released Tuesday, which means, "It's that time of year again."... ...The school in Michigan's Upper Peninsula selected 15 entries from about 5,000 nominations.... ...An emoticon made the list for the first time. The strings of characters used in e-mails and text-messaging commonly represent a face - like or :-0 - but the school singled out an emoticon heart, formed with a "less than" symbol and the number 3...." hmmmmm? so like I said, some peeps just dont get th net. Sunday, November 30, 2008, 1:18:35 AM- The Great Canadian Meteor...[edited12/30/08]
yaknow when something as rare as this happens you'd figure that it would be all over the net. aaaand it wuz aparently so except for the IDIOTS! who runs my AT&T homepage!! for they never posted a word about this. nada zilch nuttin. and so I Have been in the dark about this "world news event" since I get most of my news from my homepage. sooo when I logged onto the net last night I noticed on my homepage a heading that read "Meteor Found in Canada" and so I read the article and saw that this meteor fell just over a week ago now. "geeeze AT&T" [I wondered quietly to myself] "thnx fer nuttin". so I visited youtube to see the video taken from this dashcam in a patrol car and I found a total of five different videos with nearly 2,000,000 views on just the dashcam video itself. wow!! thats gotta be the hottest video on the net. indeed. soo I searched for these videos to possibly find them to download so that I could use them to do some editing with my .gif editor to share here in my blog since I looked in the forums and there wasnt any mention about this spectacular event. sooo maybe sm ppl doesnt know. heh like mua for example...lol and of course I thought it would be fun to take these videos and trim, crop, edit and then share. now some of you might have probs wif video play orr the likes so using gif is the next best thing. soo you ppl with kids can copy these .gifs and share them. now my only regret is that I could not find any to dnload so I had to resort to using my screen capture prog. grrrr. soo here they are[after eight hours of "fun" editing. grrr] just the three best videos and as best as I could edit them without changing the lighting. just that I had to add some sharpness to the images. sooo I'll probably post these for 24 hours and then return and edit this blog with a couple of pics with just the links to these gif images. but we'll see, because gif images can be problematic for my browser. soo with three dnloading at the same time might pose a prob. like I said. sooo enjoy...copy...and share with your kids. dash... "Mont Saint Michel taken @ lowtide" >France< "Black Skimmer" "Osprey" this photo is from the same photographer as the "first horse" photo I posted here.
