Sunday, February 25, 2007, 2:58:57 PM- This morning........I woke up in heaven!
(and no VB, it wasn't cause I slept with that life sized cardboard cut out you sent me.....JOKE) It was SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! Just piles of it!!!!! EVERYWHERE!!!!! YEAH. I am so in heaven. It is so beaautiful. And you could tell people were excited. The throaty roar of snowblowers, all excited to be put to their natural use, filled the air before 8am. I can't wait to hop out of my walk-around jammies and shovel to my hearts content. I may even shovel paths to places I don't need to go! On a FAR more serious note. Tonight is the Gay Super Bowl. Or as we refer to the super bowl, The straight Academy Awards. I hope to have a Glamour hangover tommorow.

Monday, February 19, 2007, 7:46:59 PM- An update of july 21st that will only mean something to one person
So as I am cleaning out my storage room I come across the boxes of your things. Shards of a past life slicing my heart. I find your address book with your grandpa's obituary tucked inside. I see your handwriting and I sigh. I think fondly of your habit of leaving notes. You would always tell me that someday you would give me the best gift I had ever been given. Nora Jones starts to sing (as if on cue) Don't Miss You At All" As I sit and watch the snow Fallin' down I don't miss you at all I hear children playin' laughin' so loud I don't think of your smile So if you never come to me You'll stay a distant memory Out my window I see light doing dark Your dark eyes don't haunt me And then I wonder who I am Without the warm touch of your hand And then I wonder who I am Without the warm tough of your hand As I sit and watch the snow Fallin' down I don't miss you at all I don't miss you at all I don't miss you at all I doubt such irony has ever been put so well. Again I wonder why I did this. I knew better. People warned me. In one of the boxes I found your carhart jacket. I wore it to work today. The rest of your stuff went to goodwill I'm keeping the jacket, and no brokeback references are required.

Sunday, February 18, 2007, 9:37:56 PM- Hmmm
I find it sadly ironic that I finally watched Bill Gore's "An Inconvient Truth" on my new giant, energy gobbling 80" HDTV. To my credit though, I always unplug all my electronic stuff when not in use. My electric bill seldom exceeds 10 dollars. I think I have lessened my carbon footprint. I thought it was a wonderful program. I'm confused by people who won't see the logic. They like to think it's all a giant scare tactic. I don't have kids....but I wouldn't want to look my grandkids in the eyes when they ask "how could you not of known?" And this whole "why should we lessen our carbon output when China won't" hogwash. Even if we took the 10 years to get to california's stict emission standards (for cars) we STILL would'nt meet Chinas. Thats ass backwards. On an incredibly lighter note, It's so nice to see LUNNAS back. So many people want to complain about this site. They see every missing person as a validation of their point. It seems to me they seem to come back. (except Locksley.....GO ALREADY....I said I'd miss you) I'm hungry.....

Tuesday, February 13, 2007, 8:19:21 PM- I am a Taurus
So damn stubborn. Life is sending me EVERY possible signal and I still want MY WAY. We are quickly approaching a fork in the road. I am not sure I have the courage and the conviction and most importantly...the faith to take the right path. I need a good lawyer and some rolaids. Still thinking....

Sometimes the world will shit on you until you have to decide to sink or swimn. Still thinking...

Thursday, February 8, 2007, 12:13:34 AM- Off to watch boot hockey
There is something so uplifting about watching a group of adults slide around on the ice in 10 below zero weather. I can't help it, I laugh really loudly when people fall in a big pile. I think I'll watch for awhile and then slip into the bar. maybe I'll need one of those medicinal vodka drinks to make it thru the night!

Tuesday, February 6, 2007, 7:58:02 PM- It's above zero!!
U know....it's a regular heat wave here. When I pulled my truck into the parking lot at work yesterday it was -27 and the wind chill pushed it to -45. Today.....hooray......it's 2! Off course i had a flat tire when I was ready to leave work. It was too damn cold yesterday so I did it today. Things happen. I am officially the clumsiest framer and sheetrocker ever. I think I cut every finger. If I'd been painting the wall red, my blood would of made a good primer! Well.....Jeniffer Hudson is counting on me to get this done before the Oscars. I have to get off my lazy ass. Later!

Sunday, February 4, 2007, 7:23:46 PM- A real lesson
I think this framing is a lesson for so much in my life. Just stop your worrin and DO IT. Walls are all framed and straight (thats something for ME), wiring is strung (that part never worries me SHOCKING) even a few sheets of sheetrock hung! The worring took me DAYS....the work took me hours. Lessons.....learned?

Friday, February 2, 2007, 5:01:30 PM- Power tools and hard wood.....oh my
I'm framing out the walls in my new space today. I don't know why I'm so hesitant. Jimmy Carter makes it look easy. I know how to do it. I have all the tools. K.D.Lang is playing to help butch me up. I think I just want someone else here to hold the other end of the 2 x 4. Here i go...working my wood.

Thursday, February 1, 2007, 6:48:45 PM- Polar plunge
This saturday is the annual polar plunge to raise money for special olympics. For all you southeners the concept is, saw a large hole in the ice and jump in. An unusual number of people have shots before hand. I think it helps. This years event might have to be postponed, the high temp for sat. is minus 4 (f) with quite a wind. The jump wouldn't hurt you because the lake water is about 40 degrees. The cold wind could freeze the water to your skin in approx. 15 seconds. If the event goes on as planned about 300 people will jump. It's fun. Speaking of cold, were looking at 4 days without an above zero temp. Last year about this time i was looing for volunteers for a cuddle bunny sleepover. The theme this year is catheters and comfort food. I don't want to get out of bed for ANYTHING. Maybe we should have board games, I don't want to just lay there. Ideas? Got to go fill the gastank and stock the pantry!
