I've taken several photos for fridays MD marauders. I hope you will join in. Strange things happen to me. I stopped at a convience store on sat. night for some cream cheese. The teenage young man behind the counter was trying to impress the teenage girl behind the counter by firmly afixing a large bandaid to the short hair on the side of his head. When I entered he had his head close to her and was trying to convince her to rip it off. As I approached the counter he came over to ring up my purchase with the band aid still dangling. I said "you know I'll rip that off."He leaned over the counter toward me. I grabbed it and quickly yanked UP to make it the most painful. He moaned in ectasy. After he regained hi composure he looked at me and said "you....get a discount." Thats how you save money on groceries. Has anyone seen Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvient Truth"?

Everything seems flat. Even though this is my dream camera with so many buttons I don't know what to do! Before I spend the money I think I will take it for another test drive. Hell, it cost about as much as my first car did.

Saturday, December 2, 2006, 10:38:57 PM- Tips for a good afternoon nap
1. Don't get all the way naked. Keeping your socks on prevents you from feeling TOO comfortable and then you won't oversleep. 2. Put golf on the television. It is imperative that it be golf. Some say you can put the guy who does the paintings in a half hour on, but I find the way he says "happy little trees" unnerving. 3. Have a plan for the evening already formulated. If you don't have a plan you will be tempted to wake up and change the channel and become slothful. This is just true and you know it. Following these simple tips will lead to a quick and healthful nap. Enjoy!

It is World AIDS day. And I hope for most of you it is something that happens to other people. Most of us might know of someone who has had to live (or die ) with it. But I hope it hasn't touched you too closely. I think it's strongest effect on me has been survivor guilt. I have a picture of 12 friends from my 21st birthday party and only 3 are still alive. Watching them slowly and painfully waste into oblivion was pure hell. And having a goverment that turmed it's head and pretended it didn't see was hard also. It seemed easy to blame this "gay" disease. After one particularly hard death (my best friend) I was sitting numbly in his room listening to his mother fight with the doctor about what he would write on the death certificate. She was trying to take away his last moment of truth. As if it wouldn't be AIDS if he didn't write it on the slip of paper. I think a part of me died with each of these friends. So young. we all have pain. A whole generation of talent died just then.

To travel for the holidays with the family. It is a wonderfull time to stop and give thanks for all the gifts I've been given. For starters...I am incredibly wealthy. I can pay all my bills every month and put a little in my 401k. I'm very lucky on that front. I'm healthy...I've got a few extra pounds. But my blood presure is low and, hey, I'm trying! I'm wise. I know what I know....and I know what I don't. Mostly...I'm thankful for this. It might sound crazy but I'm thankful to live near the most beautiful lake in the world. I rest by it. Drink from it. I am made calm by it's breaking waves. I will fight for this lake. I hope you all have a place in nature that moves you to this extent. Be thankful!

I miss Dough. I was missing Bimale 19, then he turned up. I miss LUNNA. I know she needs her time, but if she reads this "COCK COCK COCK" I miss Glassdick. I hope things are working out for him and the new GF. People come and go......it's all part of the ebb and flow of life. I feel like baking ginger cookies.

Tuesday, November 14, 2006, 6:34:28 PM- Makes my tummy feel sort of funny
Most of you will know what i mean when I explain this. I think weve all seen someone post photos that make us all hot and bothered in a special way. I can only think of a few instances where I've felt so strongly attracted to a picture. The poster to whom I'm refering shall remain a secret. He stopped posting about ten months ago. I "thought" fondly of him a few times in the ensuing months and thought....oh well. SOOOOOOOO happy to see him back. No faces or anything but I'd recognize the posters on the walls anywhere. Oh and that spectacular dick! (sorry LUNNA.....COCK) See...I knew you'd know that feeling!

Wednesday, November 8, 2006, 11:19:36 PM- I'm so Sad
My state has decided that I am no longer deserving of the same rights and privileges as the rest of it's citizens. Am I so naive to beleive that if people really understood what they were voting for they wouldn't do it? When i ask people people if they beleive that we all should share in the same benefits of this society..they say "well, of course" And even if you add race, creed, sexual orientation. The answers still often..."of course" So why would people vote to ammend a constitution to enforce discrimination? I need a little help here. And please don't tell me they have to protect "marriage". If that was the mission we should do a better job with the marriages we have. I don't know where I read it, a quote I like. "Is there so much love in the world that we can afford to scorn any of it?" Still sad.

The same six ladies run the show. Median age..70. They were all in a tither, a line had formed out the door (in the rain,no less) They were short of the cover folders. Then they ran short of pens. Oh it was all out democratic pandemonium, and they were in hog heaven. Who's going to do this job when those old ladies are gone? I think I'd look good in pandemonium.....size 12!
