OMG! I never thought I'd be saying this but going to work on a Monday morning seems exactly what I need right now. This past 3 day weekend really wasn't the best. It wasn't full of high drama or anything but these past days slipped by at a snail's pace.

OK... I'll admit it was nice not to be at the office but I was looking forward to lots of opportunities for leisurely escapades that included some sexual activities. But since none of that occurred my wife kept asking me what was wrong. The correct answer would have been to just tell her. Look, I've done that in the past and all it bought me was even more grief.

I've found it easier to just drink a few stiff ones before bed and a take a Lunesta and say bye bye to those concepts. The only problem is I wake up feeling resentful toward her during the next day which only continues the ugly cycle.

Tonight we've got a session with our marriage counselor. Is it time to just say what's on my mind? It seems like the little or no sex problem isn't the problem it's only the product of our difficulties. I've played her way for months at a time, she's happier but it doesn't change the fact I miss the closeness and doesn't add to my sense of well being. There must be something wrong with me.

If there was a reality TV show that was called "Pimp my Weekend", I'd be a prime candidate. After my wife screwed up her leg this 3 day weekend was toast. Even my daughter (who never seemed to leave) called her gimpy all the time. You'd think someone with a masters in sport medicine could find something wrong with her but she couldn't.

All weekend long I did my best to turn back time by trying to ramp myself back into shape during just 3 days. Next month I turn 56 and seems to bother me more than anything else in the world. There is nothing else to do.

But wait... there was last night. No sex but one hell of a meal at our favorite Mexican restaurant! We even took Mrs Gimpy!

We had finished our 4th of July dinner outside on the deck. The weather couldn't have been better. In years past it always seemed to be over a 100 degrees outside so this 79 degree temperature seemed divine.

It was 8:15 or so when my wide decided she wanted to go downtown to see the fireworks at the arch even though she was on crutches. There was no way we'd get close with a million people trying to get in close. Besides that the Cardinals/Cubs game was going on. We had been watching the game on our wide screen in the kitchen.

So we hobbled her into the car and made our way downtown. We didn't exactly get in close but it was still worth the effort.

My wife was just going down the steps when it happen. She torn the calf muscle on one leg and fell in pain! Now she's on crutches and all of our possible weekend plans just disappeared. It's possible she'll need surgery but we're hoping she doesn't. On Monday she'll see a specialist for a final verdict.

All is not lost. Later today my daughter & her boyfriend are coming over for dinner. Guess who's cooking? This isn't going to be pretty. I just hope I don't poison them or something worse.

Even though the flood waters have crested it'll be weeks before thing get back to normal. The giant fair in downtown St. Louis has been moved to higher ground. The fireworks are still going to be fired from a barge. No change there! Everyone have a great 4th of July!

Tonight we started our 4th of July weekend. Instead of cooking we tried out a new edgy pizza place down the street. It wasn't a big night out but rather a simple "I'd rather not cook" event.

I just posted a newly mixed down mp3 on my voice greeting. Instead of my Gibson SG I was playing my Fender Stratocaster. Nice for a change.

Has it really been since Sunday when I lasted updated my blog? It seems so.

Today was a real bear of day. It didn't leave work until 7:00 pm. It wasn't planned that way it's just the way things turned out. So I just need to remember I've got a 3 day weekend coming around the corner. The only problem is I don't have any idea what I'll be doing.

Meanwhile there's still a glow on my face from my wonderful Monday. The type of feeling that doesn't go away quickly. It was very special!

The couple truly loves each other but their wedding was a little "off the cuff" when it came to presentation. They were so cute together how could they not be happy. The wedding really doesn't count anyway.

Late yesterday my wife nearly caught me messing around in the bathroom with camera. I thought it wasn't good. Fast thinking may have saved me a little and all is good for the time being. Although I had admitted I was planning to take pictures of her in the shower. To make everything more creditable you had to throw in something for her to grab on to.

The down side is I had to take the heat on that which quite less than what it could have been. I was saving myself for Monday anyway. Can you say hot sex!

Hmmm.. I did a lot of weed pulling out in the yard to keep the Mrs happy. The weird part it wasn't even our yard. It was the neighbors! They can't do that type of work and if we didn't do it then it would never get done.

Tonight we're going to a wedding. At least this time we can just sit back and watch without worrying if everything is right!

It seems everyone living by the Mississippi river is being flooded. Lets hope the water stops surging up! Good thing we aren't effected.

My daughter never stays away for long. She stopped by the house again. My wife and her are watching "City Slickers" on TV while I took a quick break and logged on for just a few minutes.

No hot steamy fun around here tonight. Wish it wasn't so!

Tonight everyone at our company gathered one last time to roast our VP who is leaving us next week. It was a good time but a sad one too. Details are too difficult to explain nor would they be interesting to everyone. But some very sincere speeches were given. We'll miss him!
