Ahhhh Spring! Spring brings showers! And sometimes you get caught in them lol.... (especially when a blog challenge needs you too)

Then comes Fall! Out in the yard looking for leaves to fall. None yet.... but by god if one does I'm on it!!

Winter in South Texas is odd. Start the day out in flannel and cool and by afternoon sweaty and sleeves rolled up and shirt unbuttoned. Ahhh well lol.

Then of course it is summer now. And what better way to appreciate the beautiful summer than watching the sunrise. Hard to beat a South Texas sunrise!


Of course I have no sex in my seasons pics.... but this will have to do .

A new doodle too

Ever had one of those "Ewwwwwwww" moments?

I was at the gym. I seen this older guy working out. Sweating in ways that is almost not human. He had a towel between him and the workout machine he was using. I didn't think much of it to be honest. Then I went to a machine he just had used and he was in one across from that one. While I was working out he got up, and wiped his forehead and then used THAT TOWEL to wipe the machine! The same towel he had between him and the machine!! And I am using the last one he was just on!!!!

Ewwwww again!

Guitar has been busy lately.
Here is some of the fruits of said labors.
21 pens, and a few doodles. Other things I have made recently have been a rack to house my chisels, and redoing the veneers on a picture frame that my mother wants me to restore. I started work on a valet for my bedside. That one is far off though.Plus a very special project that will remain secret until it is done! More on that later

Gloria Haas stole enough Legos last week to build her own plastic prison cell, according to authorities in Nassau County, New York. The 53-year-old was arraigned Friday on grand larceny charges after she allegedly snatched 800 sets of the toys from a collector in Long Island and tried to unload the haul—valued at $59,000—on eBay.

Less than 48 hours later, police toppled an even bigger Lego crime ring in Phoenix, Arizona, arresting four people in connection with at least $40,000 worth of Legos stolen from several Toys “R” Us stores. They also discovered $200,000 in Lego merchandise—18 pallets’ worth—in one of the suspects’ homes and a storage facility.
Earlier this year, a suspected band of crooks in Australia brandished angle grinders and crowbars to pilfer at least $30,000 in Legos from four different retailers. In England, bandits in Watford Gap and West Yorkshire pulled off Lego truck heists to the tune of $87,000 and $67,000.

I think I see a need in building Lego display shelves for people with a large Lego collection! I see a niche developing here

Ever meet one of those people that talk in the third person? Well not only do I know one, he is one of my bosses!
At a meeting he was in charge of recently he would constantly interrupt people as they talked with the "time out" sign! You know the thing, like a football coach!

He would then say" You know what Lou thinks about all this?" Or something such as that! The joke being that his name is Lou! lol
"Lou really thinks we should think this over"
"Lou wants to see everyone on board with this new policy"
"Lou has an idea and wants to run it up the flag pole and see who salutes it"
"Let me tell you about Lou.... he was trained doing this since he started work in the Lincoln administration" You get the idea LOL......

Funny and creepy all in one!


Well Lou isn't working for us anymore , but guitar really thought this was funny!
Guitar has the type of humor that cracks up with people like this!

I know a few that would love socks like these!

For some reason I don't think they would make a very good building material. They sure are colorful though

A special new project....

First I pick out a piece of wood to use. This one is a wood called Cocobolo. It is an exotic wood from Central America. Very beautiful!!When it is being cut and worked it smells a little like cinnamon

Then a trip over to the table saw to cut it to length.

There is the piece I am going to use. I need to mount it on a mandrel and secure it in the lathe.

Now to get some sanding in... and some more sanding... all the way to 12,000 grit( that is a very fine grit)
