Well all the designs and wood burnings on the Ouija Board are now done! Finished them today. All that remains is to put on the finish. I have been experimenting in the background on a finish and I believe I have settled on one. It will take a couple days shop time to get that done. Apply,sand ...repeat. But it will be worth it
So here it is in a finished but not finished state

First an update on the ouija board....
Wood burning is nearer the completed stage...not quite tho. Also I put a frame around it and used walnut splines on the corners for strength and looks as well.



Next this was such a lovely sunrise thought I would share it with everyone. Beautiful big Texas sky. Serene and quiet.

Next is some summer flowers I happened upon on my recent trip to San Antonio . They are mainly Lantana's and a few Petunia's mixed in and there is also a honey bee buzzing around in there somewhere too

Being from Texas I have a special affinity towards NASA. I am a huge fan of the space program and damn proud of America's accomplishments in space! I am VERY proud of my Dad and his service to our country. He served in The US Army in the early 60's ,this is his wool uniform jacket he wore then. And later in life he was one of Illinois' finest. A cop that the Hell's Angels up there used to call a "fair cop" . His show badge.

Well seeing as how Tighty has teased us with 2....yes 2 times,about telling us all about her trip on the kayak,and as of yet still hasn't told us everything about it. I decided to tell you about a piece of it myself!!!!

It was Saturday afternoon and I get this phone call. As soon as I answer it I hear a real loud "BARK BARK" then laughing! Well this is different lol. It is Tighty calling me from the ocean on her kayak!!! The seals are all around her splashing and swimming and barking like crazy! She was so excited about it that she had to share it ! She was telling me all about how they were swimming in circles all around her and even following her as she paddled. And the whole time I heard her laughter about this I also heard the seals barking loudly in the background(foreground) it was an AMAZING call! I could almost feel as tho I was there. Definitely felt the excitement. Thank you so much for sharing that amazing moment tighty!!!!
