I got inspired after seeing all the wonderful craftsman and artisians at the Faire to do a little something myself.I had been working and planning this piece for sometime and now i finially finished it
It is a simple wooden box and I woodburned some celtic knots all over it.I love the celtic knot work quite alot.All that remains is that I need to put a finish on the wood.

P.S. I am working on a drawing too for someone...most likely will finish it soon

Early on Sunday as I walked thru the lanes in New Market Village(the renaissance festival) I wandered into the shop carrying pirate clothing and equipment.The shop all forms of wares to outfit any comers.I tried on this leather pirates coat..similar to a duster...a perfect fit.So comfortable,so nice.Here is a pic of me wearing it...and now the aweful truth comes out...yes I do wear glasses on occasion..esspecially when it is not feasable for me to wear my contacts.You can also see my new stein dangling from my belt

an instrument called the Caralon.33 bells ,played by sitting at it as if at an organ,and pushing down the levers you see on the left.Incredible instrument.

The glass Blower giving a demonstration on the ancient art of glass blowing.Very impressive and fun to watch as the molten glass comes out and is formed into a fluted vase(in this case).

I had a wonderful time at Renaissance festival 2006.As always it was an amazing trip into the past.Walking with fairies and knights.Singing and danceing with scotsman with bag pipes and irishman with flutes and lutes.Listening to harps play peacful music from days gone by.The lush scenery of trees and lakes with brisk cool air rushing over the ground,chilling our bones as we drank hot cocoa to warm up in te wee morning hours.This will be the first of a few blogs on my ren faire experience this year. I hope everyone enjoys the pics.I will do a better job explaining the faire in my next one

Well my NN friends...this weekend I am off to the renaissance festival.To drink mead ,sing songs,watch jousting and rub elbows with the king and queen.Dream of tales of princesses and fairies,rouges and dreamers.
