This helped cheer me up after losing my oldest pitty. This guy is Spike. He's 15 months old and this photo is the first time he's ever been on a bed. His former owner is mildly autistic and didn't realize the time, effort and money involved in owning a dog. Spike lived outside at the end of a chain since he was a puppy. My fiance finally convinced the owner to surrender him to a rescue, and last Thursday I unhooked him from his chain and walked him to the car to start the journey to his new home. He got his shots that evening and Friday he went in to get neutered. This pic was taken at the foster's house after his surgery. On Sunday his new family picked him up and immediately headed on vacation...with Spike. In 3 days he went from living in a doghouse to sleeping on a bed and lounging in a chair at the beach. I may not be able to save every animal in need, but the successes do make me smile.

He's not mine Mitch. I was going to take him but a rescue contacted my fiance and said they had a family interested. I still have my 9 to keep me busy

He didn't Kitkat. He went to Virginia. He's in NC right now; his new family picked him up and took him on vacation with them. He's on the Outer Banks being a beach bum.
