i'm trying to read blogs and for the life of me can't focus on the words...i have so much swarming in my head... so i'm gonna blog it...lol...

tikka.. my 13yo son.. was one of my patients today... he has what appears to be an abscess... but it's on his palate (roof of his mouth)..x-ray shows widened pdl's on all teeth in the area....i know wtf is a pdl?? but it's my blog hahaha... i've never in my career seen anything like it... the doc had to break out her books ... she just doesn't know so she consults with the big boss... who happens to be an oral surgeon... so it's not dentally related but needs to be biopsied ASAP.. so into surgery tikka goes tomorrow at 9am and btw since your knocking him out ya might as well scoop up his wisdom teeth too....
i totally know the procedure... i've assisted many ... but damn... not sure yet if it's the being put to sleep that bothers me or the biopsy...

called my mom tonite.. and before i can tell her about tikka.. she tells me they were at the dr's today for some sore that my dad's had for awhile on his lip ... doc says she's positive it's cancer... he goes back in two weeks for a biopsy... and again ... it's nothing to worry about... must be the phrase of the day ... i think i'll roll with it ...
