Monday, December 31, 2007, 4:10:03 AM- Super powers and stuff
Through the rumour mill I have found out that I have super powers. I find this incredibly interesting and would love to rule the world but alas I am only human. Lets consider longevity and the ability to speak up. I do not, nor have I ever had a "bat phone" hot line to NN or NN-J. I am sure they would cringe to even think of that. What I do have is a voice IF I happen to run into either of them. I chose not to bother them with trivial bullshit, but address issues that have been repeated many times. (profile bdays fixed today) End of story part one. Part 2. I find it incredibly interesting when an "old" member choses to resurface and the "new regs" chose to not say hi or even acknowlege them, in the same way they chose to ignore newbies. The most facinating aspect of all of this is IF people paid attention they would realize that I am just a member with some history that predates some of you, rather than this super power you seem to want to think I am. I cannot see prv, I have no influence on how the site is run. I AM a member just like the rest of you. Should you chose to ignore this that is your problem not mine, ju

Friday, December 28, 2007, 10:34:54 PM- Turkey day 4
club house sandwiches tonight and come hell or high water I'm gonna have red meat tomorrow! I love turkey but 4 days in a row is my limit. Went shopping today and got really lucky. New winter coat $20 (I love boxing day sales) AND found $5 on the floor at the beer store I thoroughly enjoyed my 24 hrs alone time. My daughter is home now and I missed her. Judging by the greeting I got she missed me too. While she was gone I was talking to my neighbour and have found a source for volunteer hours for her. In order to graduate high school here you have to have put in 40 hrs of voluteer work. She should have her 40 hrs by the end of grade 9 now, great news! My son is staying one more night with his dad doing the guy things he doesn't get living in a house full of women. That is ok with us cause it gives us a chance to just be. Feeling refreshed and content, ju

No need to go into great detail how it happened, it just did. Digital christmas presents, incorrect discs, try to fix it, lose all family pics from 2007. I have to thank a wonderful friend who happens to be an NNer, justcuz got the majority of my family pics back for me. I am thrilled!!!!!!! Had a few teary moments watching them reappear. Very few things are irreplacable, pictures, being memories are among the priceless. This time I owe you big time cuz, Thank you so much for giving me a year of memories back, ju

Thursday, December 27, 2007, 3:32:35 AM- The missing ball
First off found out today the kids will be going with their dad tommorrow. They were invited for 2 nights, only one wants to stay both. My son got an indoor basketball net for Christmas that says things like "That was all net" when you get a basket. It was attatched to just about every door in the house until he decided it needed to be over the back of a chair in the livingroom so he could watch tv and play at the same time. He played pretty much all day. Just before dinner he freaked!! He threw the ball and lost it. This ball has to be about 4" so not tiny but it was GONE. The 3 of us looked everywhere for the damn thing. It was driving me insane last night, how far can a ball go in the house?? He was pretty upset about it because he loved that game and other balls just weren't cutting it. That ball was nowhere to be found yesterday. This morning I looked again thinking its an orange ball ffs I would have to be blind not to see it. By this time the majority of the xmas mess had been cleaned up but the ball was still missing!! Went to shower and on my way through the livingroom I stopped to look yet again! As I was looking behind the TV for the 4 millionth time it occured to me. The back of the cabinet is open, where the DVD player etc sits. Bent over opened the doors and sure enough the ball had gone behind the tv bounced and landed on the back of the shelf. Wednesday, December 26, 2007, 3:03:09 AM- I don't understand.
I just put the kids to bed, as previously mentioned we did have a good day but I don't understand and probably never will, how a parent can so totally disassociate with their children. My kids father didn't make any attempt to even call them today. There are vague plans to see them at some point over the holidays. My youngest tried to call him mid afternoon and was told he had gone to his brothers. No call, no card, no presents although he did give me a token amount, for the first time at the end of Nov to "help with christmas" What the hell is he thinking or is he just not capable of thinking at all? The kids didn't say anything but that doesn't mean they aren't feeling it. Saddend and baffled, ju

Wednesday, December 26, 2007, 12:19:00 AM- After all the hype
it's over. My day started at 5am pretty much as predicted. The kids had a blast. I had a good day. The gifts were loved, the food was good and now I am so damn tired!! Could have been the 5 am wake up call, could have been the turkey. Chillin, ju
