Sunday, February 22, 2015, 7:12:57 PM- thought of the day; patience
Having spent a total of 8 months in the hospital last year n being that miricle that should not be here, let alone walking ive learnt alot about patience. something i use to not have much of. my cane is not an obstacle but a gateway to the beauty that surrounds me and it reminds me that i have 2 slow down to see what is in front of me as i go by in this life. here are some thoughts i hold to be true; Have patience with all things, But, first of all with yourself. Saint Francis de Sales Genius is eternal patience. Michelangelo Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. John Quincy Adams Patience is not simply the ability to wait - it's how we behave while we're waiting. Joyce Meyer Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success. Napoleon Hill Have patience. All things are difficult before they become easy. Saadi when i was in the hospital i went all the way back to being as a baby , diapers, baby type food and learning to walk again. If you know strength and patience, welcome the company of trees. Hal Borland sometimes words are not needed The key to alot of things is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it. Arnold H. Glasow Our real blessings often appear to us in the shape of pains, losses and disappointments; but let us have patience and we soon shall see them in their proper figures. Joseph Addison Only those who have patience to do simple things perfectly ever acquire the skill to do difficult things easily. James J. Corbett Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears. Barbara Johnson Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity. Carl Jung It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience. Julius Caesar Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance. Samuel Johnson With love and patience, nothing is impossible. Daisaku Ikeda My soul can find no staircase to Heaven unless it be through Earth's loveliness. Michelangelo live love n laugh w passion

“Live to learn to love. Learn to love to live. Love to live to learn so that you may live the life that you love.” Rico Dasheem “I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” Marilyn Monroe “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” Dr. Seuss “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” Oscar Wilde “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” Mae West "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.” Robert Frost “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . ."” C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Eleanor Roosevelt, This is My Story “If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire “Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” Oscar Wilde “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” H. Jackson Brown Jr., P.S. I Love You

He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs. . . Which of these candidates would be your choice? . . (Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer). V v V V V V V V Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt . . Candidate B is Winston Churchill . . Candidate C is Adolph Hitler. . . pretty interesting isn't it? . . i've learnt to never judge anyone. there is often more than the eyes see and the ears can hear its really not what we believe, not what we say but, what we do... live well / laugh well /love well

A man who fell in love with a fellow passenger onboard a flight got the airline to help him track her down. Michael Young fell for Juliet Lever on a Flybe flight from Belfast to Newcastle. Juliet, who was in seat 2B, and Michael, who was in 2C, hit it off instantly. Sadly, Michael was too shy to ask Juliet for her number. He confirmed this on the Victoria Derbyshire show on BBC Radio 5 Live today. [October 2006] He pined for her so much after they parted that he contacted the airline and begged bosses to ask her to get in touch. They obliged and Juliet, 29, phoned him and they agreed to go out to dinner. A whirlwind romance followed and they are to get married next month. Juliet, who now lives with Michael in Manchester, said, 'Every girl dreams of a fairytale romance and you couldn't get better than this.' Flybe's Head of Customer Relations, Ella Jones commented, 'Michael's tale pulled heart strings so we played cupid.' ------------------------ Doting Couple Have Used the Same Valentine's Day Card for 70 years There's no danger of 88-year-old Harry Ward forgetting his wife Doris's Valentine's Day card - the couple still use the same one he bought her 70 years ago. When 17-year-old Harry Ward presented his sweetheart Doris with a Valentine's Day card as he boarded a train to join the wartime effort on 14th February, 1941, he must have been fairly confident his affections would be requited. After all the couple had been dating since they met in a Bristol café three months earlier. Little can he have imagined that 70 years on, not only would he still be happily married to Doris, but that every year she would present him with the very same card he gave her at the railway station that Valentine's day. Now the card is set to make another appearance on the couple's mantelpiece as Mrs Ward, 87, dusts it off in time the celebrations. 'I bring it out of the cupboard and put it on our mantelpiece every Valentine's Day,' she said. 'It's as special to me now as it was 70-years-ago. Harry has never bought me one since, because I have this one every year.' The couple married in 1942 so Will and Guy have discovered; and they went on to have two daughters, two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. They had met in a café in November 1940 after Mrs Ward, who was in domestic service, had missed her bus home. Mr Ward, now 88, told us, 'I knew Doris was the one for me the moment I met her. It was a heck of a night during the Blitz, but at least it meant we met each other. I gave her the Valentine's card then and she is still my Valentine now.' Mrs Ward's card which reads, "Two hearts entwine this Valentine. True love makes it sincere" In addition we were told, 'The secret to our happy marriage is that we never go to bed without a kiss goodnight. We are as still in love as the day he first gave me this card.' ------------------------ I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. Don't waste your time on someone, who isn't willing to waste their time on you. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to. Love is in the eye of the beholder "Love is something more stern and splendid than mere kindness". C.S. Lewis happy valentines day ! live laugh n love w passion

when I was in grade school my mom would buy me a big box of valentine cards to give out to my class. the first thing I did was sort them into 3 piles, 1;girls 2;boys 3; cards I didn't like I then sorted the girls so that the girl I liked the best was first n so on. I did the same with the boys. the third pile I later found out in life was for the people I just didn't know. I believe there are 4 keys to a great relationship; 1, be the best of friends make each other your best friend 2, be crazy about each other, its ok to have many valentine days in 1 year 3, have a date night each week 4, have a fantasy night each week The moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called love and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it, you will discover that for you the world is transformed. J. Krishnamurti All you need is love. John Lennon Love sought is good, but giv'n unsought is better. William Shakespeare One makes mistakes; that is life. But it is never a mistake to have loved. Romain Rolland Love is an exploding cigar we willingly smoke. Lynda Barry a heart that loves is always young. Greek Proverb But I have seen thee And thou art enough. G. Moore Your words are my food, your breath my wine. You are everything to me. Sarah Bernhardt Friendship is one mind in two bodies. Mencius If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Winnie the Pooh There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved. George Sand Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was choice, falling in love with you was beyond my control. unknown Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. Aristotle The heart has its reasons that reason does not know. Pascal The risk it takes to remain tight inside the bud is more painful than the risk it takes to blossom. Anais Nin You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back. Barbara DeAngelis Love, like a river, will cut a new path whenever it meets an obstacle. Crystal Middlemas Greater Love has no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jesus The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. Eden Ahbez It's not that I can't live without you...it's just that I don't even want to try. Antoine De Saint-Exupery Love, you know, seeks to make happy rather than to be happy. Ralph Connor True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost. Charles Caleb Colton We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere. Tim McGraw Hold a true friend with both your hands. Nigerian Proverb My father always used to say that when you die, if you've got five real friends, then you've had a great life. Lee Iacocca A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. Anon Everyone hears what you say. Friends listen to what you say. Best friends listen to what you don't say. Anon When you fish for love, bait with your heart, not your brain. Mark Twain Because when we love, we always strive to become better than we are. Paulo Coelho in The Alchemist A man loses his sense of direction after four drinks; A woman loses hers after four kisses. H.L. Mencken A kiss can be a comma, a question mark or an exclamation point. That's basic spelling that every woman ought to know. Mistinguette Don't wait for the one you can live with, wait for the one you can't live without. Love is like a river, always changing, but always finding you again somewhere down the road. Kelly Elaine One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 5:49:40 AM- its great to make love on a rainy day and other thoughts
it rained all day sunday so here r 2 of my fav. songs about making love on rainy days. first ; raining on sunday; the the second is sung in Romanian with the English translation at the bottom. Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well. Vincent Van Gogh Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet. Plato What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Helen Keller A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and person cannot live without love. Max Muller may we all have/find our sunshine!
