Cinderella was now 75 years old. After a fulfilling life with the now dead Prince, she happily sat upon her rocking chair, watching the world go by from her front porch, with a cat called Alan for companionship. One sunny afternoon, out of nowhere, appeared the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella said "Fairy Godmother, what are you doing here after all these years?" The Fairy Godmother replied, "Well Cinderella, since you have lived a good, wholesome life since we last met, I have decided to grant you 3 wishes. Is there anything for which your heart still yearns?" Cinderella is taken aback, overjoyed and after some thoughtful consideration and almost under her breath she uttered her first wish "I wish I was wealthy beyond comprehension”. Instantly, her rocking chair was turned into solid gold. Cinderella was stunned. Alan, her old faithful cat, jumped off her lap and scampered to the edge of the porch, quivering with fear. Cinderella said "Oh thank you, Fairy Godmother". The Fairy Godmother replied, "It is the least I can do. What does your heart wish for your second wish?" Cinderella looked down at her frail body, and said, "I wish I was young and full of the beauty of youth again" At once, her wish having been desired, became reality, and her beautiful youthful visage had returned. Cinderella felt stirrings inside her that had been dormant for years and long forgotten vigor and vitality began to course through her very soul. Then the Fairy Godmother again spoke "You have one more wish, what shall you have?" Cinderella looked over to the frightened cat in the corner and said, "I wish you to transform Alan my old cat into a beautiful and handsome young man". Magically, Alan suddenly underwent so fundamental a change in his biological make-up, that when complete he stood before her, a boy, so beautiful the like of which she nor the world had ever seen, so fair indeed that birds begun to fall from the sky at his feet. The Fairy Godmother again spoke "Congratulations, Cinderella. Enjoy your new life." And, with a blazing shock of bright blue electricity, she was gone. For a few eerie moments, Alan and Cinderella looked into each other's eyes. Cinderella sat, breathless, gazing at the most stunningly perfect boy she had ever seen. Then Alan walked over to Cinderella, who sat transfixed in her rocking chair, and held her close in his young muscular arms. He leant in close to her ear, and into her ear breathed as much as whispered, blowing her golden hair with his warm breath, "I bet you regret having my balls chopped off now, don't you?" | ||||||

HOW TO STAY YOUNG ; 1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them " 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down. 3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's. 4. Enjoy the simple things. 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. 6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive. 7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge. 8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. 9 Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is. 10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ------------ Why I fired my Secretary; last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning. I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me. As it turned out, she barely said good morning,let alone " Happy Birthday."I thought...Well,that's marriage for you, but the kids....They will remember.My kids came bouncing down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word. So when I left for the office,I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent. As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, Good Morning Boss,and by the way Happy Birthday! It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered. I worked until one o'clock,when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know,It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday,what do you say we go out to lunch,just you and me." I said, "Thanks, Jane,that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!" We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. She chose instead at a quite bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go straight back to the office, Do We?" I responded,"I guess not. What do you have in mind?" she said, "Let's drop by my apartment,it's just around the corner." After arriving at her apartment,Jane turned to me and said, "Boss, if you don't mind,I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I'll be right back." "Ok." I nervously replied.She went into the bedroom and after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ... Followed by my wife,my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers,all singing "Happy Birthday". And I just sat there... On the couch... Things We Can Learn From Dogs ; Never give up an opportunity to go for a joy ride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. When it is in your best interest, practice obedience. Let others know when they have invaded your territory. Take naps and stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you are not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree. When you are happy, dance around and wag your entire body. No matter how often you are scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout. Enjoy little things. Give and accept affection. Develop empathy and concern for others. things to do at work to cheer yourself up; Office work dull?...None of your colleagues appreciate your humor ? Amuse yourself. Points are awarded on a degree of difficulty basis. You can award yourself extra points for creative execution. ONE-POINT GAGS Run one lap around the office at top speed Groan out loud in the bathroom cubicle (at least one other 'no Player' must be in the bathroom at the time) Phone someone in the office you barely know, leave your name and say "Just called to say I can't talk right now. Bye" To signal the end of a conversation, clamp your hands over your ears and grimace. When someone hands you a piece of paper, finger it, and whisper huskily, "Mmmmmmm, that feels soooooo good!" Leave your zipper open for one hour. If anyone points it out, say, "Sorry, I really prefer it this way" Walk sideways to the photocopier. While riding an elevator, gasp dramatically every time the doors open. THREE-POINT GAGS Say to your boss, "I like your style" and shoot him with double-barrelled fingers. Babble incoherently at a fellow employee then ask "Did you get all that, I don't want to have to repeat it" Page yourself over the intercom (do not disguise your voice) Kneel in front of the water cooler and drink directly from the nozzle (there must be a 'non-player' within sight). Shout random numbers while someone is counting. FIVE POINT GAGS At the end of a meeting, suggest that, for once, it would be nice to conclude with the singing of the national anthem (extra points if you actually launch into it yourself). Walk into a very busy person's office and while they watch you with growing irritation, turn the light switch on/off 10 times. For an hour, refer to everyone you speak to as 'Bob'. Announce to everyone in a meeting that you "really have to go do number two". After every sentence, say 'mon' in a really bad Jamaican accent. As in, "the report's on your desk, mon". Keep this up for one hour. While an office mate is out, move their chair into the elevator. In a meeting or crowded situation, slap your forehead repeatedly and utter, "Shut up, damn it, all of you just shut up!" At lunchtime, get down on your knees and announce "As God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again". In a colleagues diary, write in 10am: "See how I look in tights". Carry your keyboard over to your colleague and ask "You wanna trade?" Repeat the following conversation 10 times to the same person: "Do you hear that?" "What?" "Never mind, it's gone now." Come to work in army fatigues and when asked why, say, "I can't talk about it." Posing as a maitre d', call a colleague and tell him he's won a lunch for four at a local restaurant. Let him go. Speak with an accent (French, German, Porky Pig, etc) during a very important conference call. Find the vacuum and start vacuuming around your desk. Hang a two-foot long piece of toilet roll from the back of your pants and act genuinely surprised when someone points it out. Rollerblade around the floor throwing sweets. ------------------ one great way do deal with a dumb question ; I used to have a Labrador retriever, and was once buying a large bag of Purina Dog Chow at Wal-Mart and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. (Duh .....what was her first clue?) On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her. Horrified , she asked if I had been poisoned by the food and that is why I ended up in the hospital. I told her no; I'd been sitting in the middle of the street licking my balls and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have to have CPR to get over his laughing convulsions. love laugh n live w passion | ||

todays thoughts come from 2 great women ; Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.
