An officer from work brought me lunch today. During my entire career I have known that my 2nd family is sometimes closer to me than anyone else.

A family doesn't have to be created in the blood they share.
At times, a loving family is made up of so much more.

Yesterday at the docs office, I was ordered to stay home on the couch today and keep the ankle lifted. He says "Just vegg all day and watch movies" Do you know how hard that is for me? Not the part about following orders, I can follow orders (most of the time..tee hee). It is just so hard to look out the window on such a bright sunny day and NOT go outside! Oh sure, I have my books, my work cell, a laptop and movies in the que....it's all good.
What's missing is a naked house guy serving me cheese and wine.

A young woman of Asian Persuasion called today. She wanted to complain about an officer who did not call her as he had promised he would. Her story: They met last Friday night at B___ Bar, he bought her some drinks, he was nice and had a great voice, they went to a hotel room and well you know.....(her words) 'made love. *I almost giggled out loud over that line* I asked her how she knew where he worked. Evidently she went through his wallet and credentials while he was taking a shower. Then I told her that I could not file a complaint on anyone when two adults meet for a one night stand. She kept whining over the promise to call her back and even said that the other men call her back. Again, I told her that I could understand why she was upset *still holding my laughter in* but that this is a lesson to be learned to not get a hotel room with strange men. She then said "But he looked so nice" More questions revealed that she was new to the U.S. here on a Student Visa. I cannot wait to tell the officer that next time he takes a one nighter out.....he needs to take his wallet to the bathroom with him.

Men, do remember to keep your wallets hidden when you fuck and chuck a woman.

I love this kind of stuff! Man I love my job!

Just because you are on a bicycle, it does not mean you have the run of the road. You still have to follow the traffic laws. As of late, there is a lot of bitching & moaning going on in San Francisco over the sentencing of several bicyclists who either ran red lights or stop signs and either hurt or killed pedestrians. When I was a kid, we had to take bicycle classes and learn bicycle rules and traffic laws before we were given bicycle licenses. How funny that they don't give those classes anymore. Man, we had to take them every year from 1st grade on up to the 6th grade.

I admit to giving a few riders tickets for not following traffic laws. For years I have come close to hitting them in my own vehicle when they blow a stop sign and it does scare me. If there are traffic laws and they break them, they also deserve to get fined or sentenced if someone ends up hurt or killed because of their dangerous riding practices.

It was hip twisting, head banging and karaoke time in my office. This is a great song to let loose to. Little did I know... as I was dancing around my filing cabinets doing some paper shredding, the officers that were supposed to be at lunch...were not. They were standing at my office door quietly watching me. Ahhhh, who cares! I have no shame when it comes to having fun at work. Tomorrow is Frank Sinatra Day. I do like to croon.
