If all I can see of a driver is their forehead, how in the hell are they able to see the road?
There was a little old woman behind me and all I could see was her forehead, the top of her head and her hands grasping the wheel! Did she have a telescope? hahahaa.

By sheer luck, I made it another year on this earth. Another year gone, another year wiser and another year goofier. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, another year will begin. I look forward to what comes my way and will either hurdle it, plow right through it, laugh along with it or cry and hang on.

Will there be a man in my life before the next day of my birth comes along? One can hope but I won't fret over it. Sharing my smiles with another would be great, but it isn't something that worries me. There is a plan for me. I'm just not privy to it. The plan that was given to me this last year worked out well. I have nothing to complain about. The ups and downs come and go and so do birthdays. I am grateful for life.

So I am going to find a whole new set of adventures and see where life leads me. I will probably go in all directions because I have never been one to go down a straight road. There isn't any fun in that. Taking the safety roads isn't my style.

I will say "Thank you" to whom ever let me have the last year and all of the years before that one.

This morning on the way to work I went to the local cafe to buy some muffins. While waiting for them to come out of the oven, a homeless man came in for a glass of water. I asked him if he would like some breakfast. I told him to get any breakfast that he wanted. He asked for a double order of pancakes. Just pancakes. When my muffins were done, I paid, put my coat and mittens on and left. I looked across the street and there he was, sharing the pancakes with his friends.

I thought what he did was great! He paid it forward. I like that.

The movie blog challenge was VERY challenging this time. I admit it! I put you to the test! Thank you for all of your imaginative efforts. From the ones I have seen so far....KUDOS! I still need to visit some of them and see the fun. I promise that the next one will be easier.....I promise, cross my heart. If I go back on my word, you have my permission to spank me with a wet noodle. I already know what the next one will be....and no...I am not telling you...so ha!

During my walk to the craft store, I stopped by the lake to sit and enjoy the birds. The geese were fighting and the ducks were trying to find someone to snuggle with. While other ducks gave up rather quickly, one male did his best to impress a perspective mate. The pics below will give you an indication of how it went.

I finally felt like finishing the water color I started. My Dad popped into my head and all of a sudden it was completed. He and I loved to bird watch and the Hummingbird was our favorite.




I am heading out to find the perfect mat and frame so I can hang it on my wall. It isn't painted on a regular canvas, just plain white construction paper.
