It seems I am interesting enough to hold my kids interest enough to discuss random subjects 'most' of the time.

What made me laugh tonight at 2 seperate occasions was with kid no. 1, holding a discussion about her day today and I totally lost her to a well know car insurance advert - one that she has probably seen about 10,000 times so far. So after having a joking shot at her about it and moving on to a discussion with kid no.2 a few seconds later and the same thing happening with an advert about poly bags this time - I continued talking on to myself and it was about a minute and a half later till I got either one of them back!!

Some things never change though. When they were younger I had a video made up of TV adverts, just incase I wanted to get something done in the house....

Why is it that TV adverts grab kids attention so much - even the ones that aint aimed at kids???

I don't know, but it is kinda funny to watch!!

I think with kids it's the things that get them to 'think' that grabs their attention. Like an advert and that builds an image in their minds, like they are the ones in the advert if you know what I mean Willow. They build the image of themselves and that's what sells the product.

Kids take in a firghtening amount of information via adverts infact they should have lessons consisting of 30 second adverts.

I love the birdseye adverts, the one with the three fish fingers is a true laugh.
