For the first time in many years, last night I had a very, very scary nightmare that shook me enough that when I woke up in the morning I had to search the whole house to make sure there was nobody there trying to kill me.

I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow last night, and almost instantly went straight into the dream with what can only be described as a prelude. I jumped awake then laughed at myself and went back to sleep.

It was all downhill from then on, I remember waking up at one time and thinking...."OMG, I have to write this down....this is a good story for a film. I could make some serious money here."

Unfortunately, I didn't write down the finer details of my story, so that fortune is still eludingn me...

**spooked but still poor**

Well, she doesn't know it yet....but I have landed her right in it this Saturday!! I have taken Saturday off, (well as deputy manager, I gave myself permission to take it off) and left her to work on her own....

I reckon, fair is fair...I worked my day off - so now I get to pick what day I take back!!

I coulda arranged somebody else to work it with her, but why should I....lol

Now I feel quite naughty

I could start with swearing, and believe me I am very tempted...but I am gonna rise above it!!

She.....(the cow who is supposed to be the manager) phoned me last night and told me she was snowed in and probably wouldn't make it in today. "OK", I thought...she does live on higher ground than I do so maybe that was true.

Next, I get a phone call this morning...waking me up from my one long lie of the week!! It was 'her' saying she couldn't make it in today and would I be able to go in....grrrrrrrrr

Once I got into work, noticing on the way that there was no snow left on the ground and therefore no excuse for being 'snowed in' before I was told that she had actually phoned in sick for today.

Being as ever trusting, as I am, I thought...."okay, maybe she just doesn't feel well" (well okay I was thinking other stuff, but I was trying to stay open minded)

Until.....I got a phone call from a colleauge who had just spotted her out shopping, then another phone call from somebody else who had just seen her out in her car with her grankids....and yet another phone call telling me she had been spotted again.

Now, I am really, really pissed!!


(but I have a plan!!)

Step one....Scrape snow off the driver door before entering the car.

Step two....Open door, and very importantly.. leave the car door open.

Step three...Start the engine and switch your windscreen wipers on.

Step four....Act really calm when you get the entire 6" covering of snow from you windscreen dumped onto your lap.


LOL...somedays, I really do wonder about how smart I really am/am not!!

I have been standing at my kitchen window for the last hour or so watching a busy little squirrel in the snow. He is running to a garden across from me, stealing one nut at a time from a bird feeder then dashing back to bury them in my garden. At least if I run out of food now, I know where there is a really big stash of nuts

It's funny how this country grinds to a halt everytime we get a bit of snow, all though to be fair this is probably the heaviest snow we have had in a few years. I'm going out to play in it later with the kids and the dog.....lol, think I will leave the fire on at home though - we will need heat when we get back in!!

We went to see Seven Pounds last night.....dammit.....nobody told me to take a hankie with me, so I had to use my sleeves...FFS!!!

It is a really good movie, I was kinda surprised that the kids enjoyed it too (once I expained the plot to them that is)



Now....I have a mystery to solve tonight. I had £50 in my hand earlier, and I put it down somewhere. The problem right now is, Where the hell did I put it?????? I hate my scatter headed brain sometimes, lol

My new courses are both science based ones, so tonight I have started reading lots of sciency stuff....OMG, my head is buzzing...but you know what??? I have soooooo many new theories and ideas that I reckon right now I could take on anything.....

Including, the meaning of life!! So, if you want any answers to any questions.....I am probably your person tonight!!

She was fun tonight, my arms are killing me, my legs are killing me, my cheeks are killing me (too much smiling) She tried to rear 5x tonight but I found her a challenge and loved every minute of it!!

There is nothing more boring than riding a horse who doesn't challenge you every step of the way.....and so in the same vein there is nothing more exciting than riding the one that does......

Challenged, but very happy tonight!!

I have the worst headache ever right now...My oldest is getting ready to go out and was sitting at the other side of the room from me, but I had to ask her to leave the room and take the half bottle of perfume she has just sprayed on herself with her.....

Pheeewww, I was kinda relieved when the young 'un came back in with the dog....at least all I can smell now is wet dog!! I can't believe that I was actually relieved to smell wet dog, and that it could help a sore head!!

Well, I ended up going out last night, coz my mate kept harrassing me till I said yes. I told her that I wasn't gonna drink though. I surprised myself by how much of a great time without drinking alcohol. I kept feeling drunk, but it must have been on fumes or something, lol.

It was refreshing to wake up this morning after a night out and not being hung-over!!

OMG, I can't believe I may have just said yes to a new house guest!! lol, The more the merrier I suppose!

He will be the 4 legged variety though ( a dog), and will probably get on like a house on fire with my doggie.

But you know what, I am looking forward to having another mouth to feed and somebody else to moan about...lol
