Friday, July 10, 2009, 10:01:02 PM- wishes....
this was a rough week for work and i found myself wishing that it would go faster. suddenly i gave pause because i knew that i was wishing for it to go faster, some dear friends of mine were wishing that it would go slower. funny how time works that way. when ur having a good time with friends, it goes so fast. when ur struggling, the days (nights) never end. on anothe vein...when i went for a ride the other day i had a funny thought. i looked into the seat bag i have for a tool and found my piece of identification that i carry in the bag (in case i get hit by a car, so i can be identified). it is the geneva conventions card that i was issued when i went to iraq. it reminded me of the absurdity of being issued the card. on the card it states that i am a medical professional and should be afforded certain rights (included being given materials to treat the injured and such). it is absurd because (if i were to be captured) i often wondered if the insurgents would see the card and then decide that they couldn't cut my head off because i should be afforded certain rights.............sure, LMFAO...have a great weekend all. work tonight then off sat, sun, mon...wooo hoo!!!!!

Monday, July 6, 2009, 8:10:00 PM- today...
is a wonderful happy day. Not so much for me (i am fine), but for some wonderful friends that i have made here. J, cas, 7, and 2K are getting together. in my opinion that is what NN is all about. the chance to make friends with people who are of the same mind getting together and sharing friendship. i must say that i am blessed to be part of the male population. why is that blessed?, because i am not subjected to the unending mindless male bullshit! i can come on the site to surf and chat without someone demanding that i show them my goods, or give them my addy. sure there is the occasional man looking for a good time with other men, but once u tell them u r straight, they cease and move on. why is that so many of the hetero men don't get the hint. it not only ruins it for us "normal guys" in the sense that the women become jaded, but it also drives so many good people from the site. but once again, this is not about the site in that sense. it is about what the site can do for us. we can meet up with people and have a great time. i am sure that fun will be had by all by our friends to the north. here is wishing them all the best......cheers u guys...have a blast....

Thursday, July 2, 2009, 9:08:05 PM- what a fun day....
i am not a golf fanatic to be sure, but it was fun watching the people who are into it. there was a lot of kids there which is good for the game AND...there were A LOT of hot chicks there. i was worried that it would be all old ladies....no way.....sun, nice scenery....(and the free ticket and free snacks and drinks didn't hurt either). it is amazing to see how people react to tiger woods. he is such a real life presence even if u don't like golf. u have to admire his work ethic and tireless dedication. he asked me to call him tigger, but out of respect i call him mr woods...lmfao...as if he would talk to me....lol

Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 6:53:06 PM- the military has some benefits....
i am working all weekend, but do have tomorrow off. since i work nights, i try to stay awake for as long as i can if i have the next night off. well, the AT&T Golf tournament is in town and i had made the decision to go there after work and hang out for the day. there was free tickets available at our local morale and welfare office, but they went quickly and i didn't get one. as it turns out, i called the ticketing agency to buy one, but i can get in for free at the gate anyway!!! SWEET!!! i also can gain access to the Lockheed Martin hospitality tent which is supposed to have a good viewing area and some food and such. i play the game (very little) and i suck horribly, but enjoy the scenery and a beer or two. i have a friend who was on the tour and his brother still is. i can remember we used to tease him in high school because he was on the golf team while the rest of us played basketball, football, and of course soccer. well, he got a free ride to college and was actually a pro....no none of us "real jocks" made it anywhere...lmfao. his brother is still on the tour and has made well over $600, 000 so far this year. i only wish he was playing this tournament so i could say hello. don't worry all, i will say hello to tiger woods for NN, maybe i can sign him up as a member...lmfao...have a wonderful NN day all hugs to all my friends....

Monday, June 29, 2009, 9:05:05 PM- get out there.......
i have fallen into the trap lately of feeling sorry for myself. during this time, i have spent most of it in my apartment drinking some beers and ignoring the outside world (except u folks ). i went out for a ride today and realized that i have so much to offer out there. it may be a simple hello as i am passing on the bike path, or a smile to someone. this is not for me...only to hope someone has a good day. it is when i get a response that it touches me. someone cared enough to reply...when i said hello or gave the smile, i was only hoping that perhaps it would make THEIR day better. the resonses in turn made my day! during my conversation with md, he said that he makes an effort to get out of the house...that was my inspiration, once again i have to thank md. i have read some blogs where the member has been "down", yes we all feel this way! but to get out there and share yourself brings such great returns. it is always a risk to put yourself out there, but well worth it. to those that are down, get ur asses out there and show the world what you have!!!!!we all know what the inside of our houses have to offer, but there is SO MUCH MORE...thanks again md.......the next smile may be mine......

Saturday, June 27, 2009, 5:51:45 PM- i promised you a happy blog..........
in two days it will be 20 years that i have been in the Army, all of it has been in the reserves except for schooling and mobilizations. i am currently on my second mobilization. the first was about 15 months (one year in iraq, three months training to go) and this one is for one year here in dc. the military has provided me with some great opportunities, mostly the chance to travel. i have been to , kentucky, texas, colorado, washington (state), and dc here in the states. i have also had the chance to travel to turkey, south korea (twice), romania, and of course iraq. the great thing about it is that these were to places that i normally would probably not visit. during these trips, i had the opportunity to experience the country and culture, not just the military side. i met my first wife in turkey........damn, this was supposed to be a happy blog...lol. i have four wonderful young men from that union so it definitely wasn't that bad. no she was not turkish; she was in the military as well and she is the reason that i moved to new york from california. tourkey was actually quite beautiful with lots of history. the people were friendly as well. it was quite humerous to go out on the town as our females were told not to wear make up and to be reserved in attire. well, when we went to town, the turkish women were all made up and dressed very modern! they must have thought that american women were very plain! they had amazing outdoor markets where the fruits and vegetables were so colorful. we were told not to eat them of course as we were told that they use human waste as fertilizer....eeeewwwweeee. south korea was amazing. the are so technologically advanced...i was amazed! even though i was being paid, i actually lost money my first trip there as we were staying in the Grand Hyatt in Seoul ( i was the aid for a General). me and the sergeant major were living it up in the club every night while the general slept....pmsl. once you were out of town, the countryside was quite rugged! very beautiful. my trip to romania was very quick. quite difficult to travel there with the military as there has to be a "country clearance" request and such. i traveled there to deliver the Flag to the mother of the soldier who was killed (who i mentioned in my previous blog). yes, the military actually goes to those lengths! we were warned before we went of the packs of dogs...yes, i said packs of dogs that roam the city! we flew into bucharest and there were dogs running the streets. we then traveled to a town on the black sea. it was one of those trips where you realize how good you really have it! once you were out of the city the standard of living dropped tremendously. i'm talking horse drawn carts, propane for cooking and heat (they have to get the propane with the carts) and corn stalks leaned against the "houses" to provide insulation! such wonderful people though!!!!! i do not mean to offend any romanians, but......we were told by our naval attache that romanian women are the most beautiful in the world!!!!!!, that is until they reach thirty! i'll be damned if he wasn't right! they were gorgeous, but i did not see one older woman who was attractive....lol. iraq i have already covered...if it wasn't for the oil there is NO REASON to live in that part of the world! i did learn that iraq is the second most mentioned part of the world in the bible...israel is the first. i take it A LOT has changed since the bible was written as it is supposedly where eden was.........not for me...lol. i must apologize, i have rambled to no end. thanxs for reading...see ya soon....
