Monday started beautifully as so many days do outside my front door, the sunrises are one my favorite things each day. Tuesday was a bit cloudy and I managed this shot of sun rays filtering through the clouds on my drive to work. Wednesday morning I found this flower while walking one of the dogs. Thurssday this little guys stopped by to visit while I was at work. Then Friday I took this little fella to the vet after he slept on our deck for two nights and welcomed yet another pup into the pack. While we are trying to find him a good home, I am pretty sure he knows he already found it. All I can say is the good ones find you.... and we are now seriously out numbered I think his name will be Bud as I seem to naturally call him that but it is still tentative. He was a sad little fella but he is gaining strength quickly and fitting in with the others quite well. I just cant wait to see what this week brings.... hope yours is a good one, take care folks. | ||||||

First I have a Stubby update, some of you may have seen the pictures of Stubby the bob tail squirrel in my blog previously. I am pleased to announce that Stubby is definitely a male and in all likely hood and impending papa as well. As I arrived home Friday he was having a "really great time" with another squirrel. I took some pics as this was quite an amusing sight but they were too far away to get a good shot of the event. This is the sunrise from Friday morning, wish I could hit the reset button, Groundhog Day style back to this. Weekends go far too quickly. Got a few pics of some mushrooms, I am no expert but I presume they are as dangerous as they are pretty...kinda like a some people I know and a few things from the interwebs... This is my kinda flow chart...if you cant fix it with WD40 and/or duct tape it is a lost cause ...well yeah... Yep I think most folks know this feeling lastly a few interesting tidbits Not sure about the reality of this, but I can think of more than a few times I would love to find out. ...we have the technology to rebuild him.... New upholstery for the status couch me thinks... Sharing a fact(presumably) and contributing to it at the same time Off to cut some grass, have a great Sunday and a wonderful week folks. This little fella stopped just long enough for a couple pics as if he were posing, then fluttered on A spectacular sunrise while walking the dogs early in the week. We had a thunderstorm roll through just before dawn the next day, it made the perfect conditions for one of the brightest rainbows I have seen in a long time. It was a double, and even the second one was fairly bright the phone pics do not really do it justice. This was the sun coming through the clouds as the storm moved off... I drove right under it, rubber necking and looking for the pot of gold with early retirement in mind. A fantastic sight but no gold... Hope everyone is having a great weekend! In my part of the world gray squirrels are ubiquitous, but I had never observed one with no tail until the late spring. I noticed the strangest thing in a nearby tree. This squirrel whom we have named Stubby was hopping around in the trees with what must have been its siblings. I watched for a while trying to process what I was seeing. It is quite an odd thing to see a little tail less squirrel. I would watch him hop and expect to see a tail land behind him for the longest time. It looks so strange, needless to say I have grown attached to and fascinated by him. Anyway I wanted to share the latest addition to our menagerie. He is quite hard to photograph as all of the squirrels in our yard stay on edged due to being chased by puppies...regularly lol | ||||||

I love the iridescence of this flower, and it reminds me of something. I just can't quite put my finger on it... It grows all around my neighbor hood. I believe it is a kind of wild orchid, most orchid flowers are reminiscent of lady parts to me, guess that makes me a perv, oh damn the secrets out!!! I suppose a Freudian would have a lot of interesting thoughts on that... Finally getting a few ripe blueberries, now if I can just beat the birds to them.... If you sleep too deeply (or get too drunk...lol) around here tt will paint your nails Happy was her latest victim, he was looking rather festive for the 4th Just heard on tv it is the anniversary of sliced bread, or the machine that does it anyway. Makes me wonder what was the previous thing that greatness was compared to? Just a random thought... have a great week folks | ||||||

Monday started really well, this was the sunrise as I was walking the dogs... things went rapidly down hill from there, and it has been a tough few days thus far... ...but tonight something really cool happpened... no not that you pervs lol... well not yet anyway lol My favorite plant is blooming, it only does so once a year at best. It smells as beautiful as it looks We have the next few days off. The weather is warm but not as hot as it should be this time of year and there are thunderstorms in the forecast most days. I love a good thunderstorm, so I believe my week shall improve from here. Looking forward to some well earned R and R. Take care good folks, bless ya all | ||||||

I got the nicest pm today! That right no more complaining about not getting pm's folks. Today I discovered you can pm yourself! Needless to say they got quite dirty You can not block yourself btw... lol Went to work with tt for a while this morning... this little fella kept trying to sell me insurance with a funny accent He was hanging out on one of my favorite plants, a cereus ...pardon the tangent please, here is a cool video of a cereus blooming. The flower only lasts a short while and they smell incredible tangent over... now for the orginal pic of the insurance selling lizard that started this bit. Some interesting physics and light bending going on in this one, nature never ceases to amaze me. Hope you are having a good Saturday or whatever day it may be where you are | ||||||
