Tuesday, January 9, 2007, 8:13:02 PM- I cleaned it
so I can make a mess if I wanna!! Yesterday after the kids FINALLY went back to school I went crazy doing some much needed cleaning. When they got home it seemed like all I said was "Eat that at the table I don't want crumbs on the floor, don't spill it!!" etc. I don't have a clue what possesed me but this morning I decided it was time to repot a few of my plants. Of course it was too cold to do in the garage so I did it in the middle of the kitchen floor. I think I made more of a mess than they did durning the two weeks they were off. On the other hand I have been thoroughly enjoying my time off with plenty of arrivals It is finally snowing!! We are supposed to get a whopping 4cm. that will most likely be gone in a few days because it is going to be above 0c on Thurs. A productive, satisfied for the moment and snowy, ju

Saturday, January 6, 2007, 4:06:53 PM- From lobster to poutine
Today is my daughters birthday, something she has always looked forward to even more than christmas. Two months ago she decided she wanted to go out for lobster for dinner. She has been counting down and looking forward to it, until last night when she said she regretted making that decision. Cancel all plans and ask what she wants instead. Tonight we are having poutine, ice cream and an improptu wake over. Next weekend she is having a party in the afternoon and one friend she doesn't get to see very often will be staying over. Turning off the lobster craving and turning on the poutine craving, ju

a better filing sysem. The current one of letting paper pile up on the desk till it threatens to topple, sorting through that mess and shoving what needs to be kept into the cupboard isnt working at all!! Sifting through a stack of paper that goes back several years looking for the ONE I need, ju

There are many things I hope to accomplish this year, not resolutions really, the new year just seems like a good place to start getting some of the things I have been hiding from started. 2007 is sure to be an interesting journey. Friday, December 29, 2006, 9:07:56 PM- It's here!!!!!!
You may remember me blogging about wanting a digital frame for christmas, Well thanks to a wonderful person I got one and it arrived today!!! After I farted around with the card reader for about 2 hours trying to figure that out (yeah I totally suck at electronic stuff and reading instructions) Lenny came to my rescue. Within minutes after that I had copied a bunch of pics onto the card and had a slide show going. I really wanted one of these because with digital pics we tend to take the pics upload them to the computer look at them once or twice and either burn to cd them or leave them on the computer never to be looked at again. With the frame we can enjoy pics the same way we would going through old photo albums. The kids are going to get as much of a kick out of this as I am. Speaking of the little devils, they left late yesterday afternoon and won't be home untill late tomorrow afternoon. I am really enjoying the break! This is the longest one I have had yet. Thrilled, chilled and thoroughly enjoying, ju

Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 1:24:40 AM- Another one bites the dust...
Another Christmas over with, all that is left to do are the dishes, and screw it they can wait, I am too damn tired. My day tried to start at 3am when it was loudly announced that 'SANTA HAS BEEN HERE!!!!" I managed to hold them off till 5 when I gave up and got up. My son tore through his gifts like he was on a game show and would win a prize if he was the first one done. At one point he looked at his sister and said "you got more than me" He was looking at the pile still left not the pile that had been opened behind him. His last gift was the one I was most excited for him to open. My son is a HUGE fan of firefighters, trucks etc. Fire68 and I were talking one night and he generously offered me his old fire captains helmet, since his had just been replaced. To say my son was speechless is an understatement. Fire I have a vid for you soon as I see you. (he has not had it off of his head since about 5:30 this am) thank you so much once again!!! It was a wonderfull Christmas despite my trepidations over the last few months. I hope you all had a wonderful day too. Looking forward to 07, ju
