This site is a dinosaur on the internet.
Chat is so far removed from some other sites it is laughable. There are cam options, mods can create rooms, there are rooms for every concievable interest, location and age.
Even free members on other sites can view vids, the prem feature view them as a play list.
Blocking those who are harrassing should be standard.
Deleting pics without deleting a profile should be as well.
Premium features should be something to be desired, not something you can go to another site and get for free.
Blogs should by now be organized so we can find them by date. The last improvement there was pagination.
The main page is a joke, it hasn't changed in the 6 years I have been here and really most of the pics there have barely changed either.
The friends list is just a place for people to collect names. It should mean a lil more than that, ideas run rampant, NN we love you and this site but seriously it is time to change.
The weekly poll might change once a month if we are lucky. I really don't know why there is a tab for auctions they happen so rarely.
I keep wandering and coming back only for a few of the people who are wandering as well.
NN it is time to bring us up to date and make this site as cutting edge as it once was.

It has been insanely humid here the last 2 days. Todays humidex got to 39C. Needless I have been barricaded indoors with the A/C cranked.
The temp is a comfy 72F. Don't ask me why but my unit isn't celcius.
Now if you know me at all you know that fall inspires me to cook.
Today I was making veg stock for some minestroni, thinking about quiche, which I will make tomorrow. I have fresh peaches waiting to be made into pies. I was also thinking corn bread would go well with the soup. I have got a chicken ready to be stuffed for a big roast chicken dinner.
FFs the cooler temp in here has triggered some crazy instinct to cook and stock up for the winter!
I think I shall raise the temp in here just a few degrees to see if this cooking mania goes away.

I am absolutely totally and completely anal about water safety.
I grew up with it. My Mom was a life guard, I was too young by the time I completed all I needed to and a few years later wasn't interested. My daughter only has life guard and instructors to complete.
In the past two weeks there have been 9 drownings reported on the news.
What pisses me off is people that know how to swim but are totally oblivious to safety issues.
These are the ones you see out paddling on their own, no pfd.
These are the ones that think they know oh so much because they know how to swim.
These are the people who haven't though far enough ahead to realise you can NOT swim if you are unconcious, or rendered incapacitated by currents.
Had an arguement with Ron tonight, he thinks he knows it all and couldnt see any instance where he might need a pfd while paddling the canoe alone.
The silence got thick.
He got his second wind and walked home.
I really don't get it, why is it so hard to put on a pfd?
It IS a personal floatation device!
Water safety doesn't end with the falling leaves in this country.
Too damn many idiots drown thinking the ice is safe.
Please do NOT become another statistic.
Drowning is preventable if you prepare for it.

Kid1 is home after a week away. Yup I missed her big time!
Blueberries are in season and what am I doing? Freezing the damn things so I can enjoy them all winter long. Remind me to leave a few out to eat fresh?
I have been craving turkey for a month or so. Found one today, right size and price. I will be moaning and groaning tomorrow about how full I am
I am freezing blueberries for the winter but have run out of my homemade cranberry and will have to buy either frozen or tinned. Not good
I fought jl and won. The prize? Larry and I are going camping on top of a flower pot. He better wear his life jacket to bed is all I have to say.
Debating peach jam, it is soooooooooooooooooo good but last years batch ended up without the sugar totally disolved and I haven't got a clue what I did then so haven't got a clue how to fix it.

Red squirrels are active in winter and cross on the ice. They're the cute little fellows that will try to steal your lunch. Please don't feed them as this causes more harm than good (it's also illegal).
