Friday, October 24, 2008, 1:29:37 AM- The essence of creation
My first thought about the photo posted here as "A moment of fall wistfulness" was "F***, this is exactly what it's all about. I could sacrifice 10 or more pics just for this one photo." I could sacrifice 20 average pics, maybe even more, and even if that would mean some days without new photos. I guess you've heard about the Pareto rule. It has some interesting implications for creative activities. When somebody produces content -- be it literature, music, photos or whatever -- its value follows a specific pattern. There is a small part of it that has great value and great part that has relatively little value. The best thing a content producer can do is find that small part of their most valuable works and focus on it. Other works are also necessary, but it is that specific part that can make you accomplished. It's absolutely normal that it comprises just a small percentage of one's works. But it is the essence of creation and should be taken care of appropriately.

Thursday, October 23, 2008, 3:02:49 AM- Be careful what you wish for
I was riding a bike and entered an arterial road to get a shortcut. While riding, I was looking around in hope of finding something interesting. I spotted that plowman near the road. My first thought was a quote from the song "When I Grow Up" by The Pussycat Dolls: "Be careful what you wish for Cuz you just might get it". What I wished for recently were public nudity pics. Hesitated for a while, but hey, it's a great opportunity. I got quite close to him and started the shoot. I expected that he would give me hell, ask what I'm doing or something. But he did nothing. Nothing at all! Just went on with his job as if nothing unusual was happening. I took 4 pics. What a boost of confidence! Then there was a prostitute, a so called "tirowka". The same again: from "eh, nevermind" to "no reason not to do that". Of course she was on the phone -- they talk 95 percent of the time while waiting for clients. "Excuse me, can I have a photo with you?" Obvious mistake -- why excuse me? She replied "No" and turned away. Lesson learned: road prostitutes are strongly unwilling to be photographed. Seems I have to reach to the NLP/PUA arsenal. Maybe an opener like: "I bet you feel terribly ashamed of doing this job."

Uh, it's not so easy to describe it. You have to experience such things to know how it feels. I'm standing on the railway platform. Finally I'm alone, there's probably only an old woman somewhere in bushes nearby -- not a problem. A train is going to arrive shortly. It's cold, so cold that I definitely don't feel like undressing. "And maybe I also have to take off shoes, ha ha", I'm thinking to myself. OK, no time to waste. I have to rush a little as the train lights are already visible. I'm preparing the camera and starting to undress. Finally I'm naked. And in this very moment something magical happens. I'm getting so excited, so much turned on, just like on drugs or something. Everything around me seems so wonderful, there's no cold, no worry of any kind. There's only fun, I can't help but laugh. The camera shoots and I have to take it away from the track. I'm dressing and getting back to normal. It was like taking a step over an edge. And it felt so. From a safe, warm shell to the uncertainty of being out in the field without any shield. Truly amazing experience.

Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 12:37:18 AM- New horizons ahead
One of the most important things in life is staying relaxed. One of the most effective ways to manifest somebody's staying relaxed is not relying on any support, but just letting go into the flow of events. I was considering starting a series of teachings in this blog, some "outside the box" and politically incorrect stuff. But, uh, where do I start? Where to go next? How to organize it all? I might think it through carefully or... just let it go. Quite a number of interesting things happen all around. Not only could I pick on some of them, but it's a really good idea to do so. Why or what for--it's another story, that I will cover in another entry soon. There are two things I'd like to mention this time. The first one is my entering some new horizons, namely public nudity. Easy, guys, nothing especially interesting yet. Just a first approach. One pic on a train stop and another one on a bus stop. The latter (unfortunately not good enough to be released) was more challenging as the street was quite busy. Two cars drove by while I was standing there nude. This leads me to another thing--more on that soon. Ah, and another story about the former photo. The concept of "threshold", all these incredible feelings--it's like an extreme sport. Seems I have something to share with you. And it will not be stories about nice dishes or drinks that I tried recently. OK, the second thing to mention is pics rating. After a visit of a one-voter I was considering writing a blog entry about NN's handling of that problem: "Of course they know those user names, but don't do anything about it to avoid troubles with those frustrated guys like perhaps driving them crazy". Whew, how good I didn't do that. I checked ratings of my pics last Sunday... and was totally blown away. NN did a really great job removing all one votes. The ratings are now overwhelming. Hey guys, I'm going to purchase a good camera one day and finally get some knowledge about photography. How will you rate my photos then?

Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 6:06:13 PM- Will I get caught?
In the ebook "A Positive Attitude" by Dan Auito (available free at http://www.changethis.com/14.PositiveAttitude) you can find this advise: Avoid doing anything that makes you ask yourself, "Will I get caught?". When shooting one of my first nude photos, the one on the forest road, I was seen by a guy riding a bike. He just smiled. Then a couple, also on bikes. Passing me by, they "didn't notice anything". I didn't strive that much to hide my nakedness from them. The shoot on a lake that resulted in two pics ("A nice June afternoon..." I did being seen by a fisherman standing on the other shore. I could also be seen by another guy passing by with a dog. When shooting my most recent photo I was seen by 3 young people on bikes. They approached as I was posing, and stopped. I only noticed them after grabbing my camera. I put my shorts on and they resumed their ride passing me by. You know, it's a kind of insolence, making a mockery of the outer, "normal" world. Another opportunity to make fun. Will I get caught? Am I afraid? Relax, man, it's a no-op. Why even think of it? Smile and have fun!

Monday, July 14, 2008, 6:29:02 AM- Two NN oddities
The number of guests on NN ("NN Vital Stats" on the main page) last Saturday morning (UTC) differed somewhat from its typical level. Exceeding 11000, it was like 10000 users more than usual. What was it? Really that many users? Was the number shown wrong? Or was it a nasty robot leeching pics? My guess: a bot. Check the forum and see how much attention is given there to pics stealing. Let's look at something else: popularity of pics. As explained in its definition it is calculated by "calculating the number of times a photo has been viewed divided by the number of days the photo has been on the site." OK, let's check my own pics, 3 examples: (1) "Field inspector at work": 369 views in 7 days (2) "Inhaling solar power...": 302 views in 11 days (3) "A June evening...": 475 views in 32 days Now let's do the math. We need to divide the number of views by number of days. We get: (1) 369/7 = 52.7, NN says: 66 views/day (2) 302/11 = 27.5, NN says: 43 views/day (3) 475/32 = 14.8, NN says: 61 views/day Well, looks like something strange is happening here. I've just reported this problem on the forum.

Thursday, July 10, 2008, 10:31:34 AM- My plans
I took 3 hikes in the mountains. The result: 27 distinct photos out of which 16 to be released this week, 9 planned to be posted later and 2 yet undecided. 6 new pics already out. OK, what then? For the near future: some shots on a river. It's a shame I haven't done any yet. Then I'd like to see other nice places. Another visit to the mountains is almost certain. Moreover, I plan on making sets of pics, like various kinds of exercises. Related with each other, but different to keep the collection diverse. And a special set: funny pics. These will not necessarily be outdoor photos. Already have 2. It's not that easy to make a shot which is really funny. I had some ideas, it seems. Yes, now I remember one, hmm... not sure if it's funny enough. Oh, and a very special set: risky pics. You know: nude in public. I received a request for them. Have no idea in this area for now. And some extreme stuff, but not now. Extreme in terms of conditions I expose myself to. This means primarily winter, snow and cold water. Of course any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Monday, July 7, 2008, 2:23:03 PM- Is it a joke?
This morning my "hay savior" pic had 10 votes and was rated 9.20. I'm blown out. I can only imagine two possible reasons for that: misinterpretation of the rating scale by some users (reversed understanding, mentioned on the forum) or a failure of NN's server software. They're running Microsoft's IIS. "If I ran NN..."--I'd move the site to LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)!!! OK, no point in complaining about the pic. If you think it's great, well... sure it's great! It took nearly all day to select that amazing pose, countless attempts, my back hurting badly, repairing and rebuilding the haystack... But the effect was well worth all the effort. Thank you for your appreciation! It's a slight issue with the "spoiled town child" photo: my cock is poorly visible. May be no fun, especially if all users finally figure out which grade is the best and which is the worst. Now seriously: each time I look at any of the haystack photos it makes me think of one thing. Propaganda shows of harvest in the Peoples Republic of Poland back in the 1960s and 1970s. Young workers doing their job and an announcer voice saying something like "Thousands of young women and men in collective effort are working gaily by the sweat of their brows to the glory of the socialist homeland." I think the colors play important role here. Both those pics are almost gray. Combined with their contents, they result in such associations. Quite important issue, I guess: "Your Location" in the pic posting form. I don't think it's very useful to mention your permanent location with every pic you post. It can be found (or should be) in your profile! But indicating location at which the pic itself was taken makes perfect sense. And that's my policy. Not a big issue so far as all my photos were taken near my place, but for some pics I'm gonna post it's quite significant.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 2:41:51 PM- It's all about relaxing
It was so beautiful sunset yesterday. Blood-red clouds above the horizon. Made me think of a pose to best fit it. Hugging tenderly something (probably a tree), warm, thoughtful, eyes fixed on a distant object, smiling gently... Haha, right, but seriously: it was a suggestion for me to quit perfectionism and start reaching ever further and higher. Instead of eagerly continuously attempting to make a photo "at least a bit better" relax, look around and see how outstanding scenes are just waiting for you to shoot. And act immediately, it's all so volatile. Overslept today, woke up at 6. No new pics, uh... Never mind, hope for more luck in the evening. Posting four new pics today. Shot yesterday, sunrise at the lake in the woods, an "enhanced remake" of one of my previous photos. A different, nice view of the lake. Later this week: a few earlier pics and hopefully some new. On Friday my mom comes to visit me. Leaves on Sunday. A short time of trouble, probably no new pics, but who knows... Next week I plan on releasing my mountain pics collection. Only more expressive photos for now. I'll save the rest for... hmm... tough times.

Tuesday, July 1, 2008, 12:48:13 AM- It's all about fun
OK, I decided to start my NN blog. It's a good way to communicate with you, collect content requests, announce release plans, give you something to think about and so on. Besides, blogging gives me some sort of freedom of posting as this way I can provide comments for my content and explain some issues. And here's the first one: my new "About Me" section. To put things simple: what I did was combining several elements to make a nice, compelling whole. It's all meant to be funny. I'm not a hypnotherapist or anything like that, but so what? There's nothing noble here, it's just a kind of absurdity turning into plain fun. And besides, doesn't it make you feel better? If so, enjoy! Hope it's clear. Anyway, though I'm still a bit afraid to be criticized or ridiculed I think it's worth doing. To my surprise I found out that some of you considered my pics hot. I don't. I strive to make them nice, beautiful or funny. For me hot pics are those involving some sexual activity or at least specific poses or gestures. But a nude guy just standing in an interesting place? It's just plain fun, hopefully beauty and manifestation of my attitude. Maybe it's not quite normal, but I don't see anything strange in showing own nude body to others. It's a kind of "absurdity vs absurdity" reaction to the sickness of today's world. Absurdity turning into fun. All my NN photo activity started with some fun. I took several pics of me naked outdoors for no particular purpose, just for fun. I enjoyed shooting them a lot. Only after some time I realized I could submit them here and posted two. Thanks for all your votes, comments, PMs and friend requests. Nice idea, ukteenboi, I'd be happy to make a video. And it's so nice you'd love to join me. I'd need a cameraman! New pics coming soon. I have a nice collection shot in the mountains, where I've spent a week. My parents' place. Before posting them I wanna remake one pic of my place, at the lake, but the weather still doesn't allow. In fact, I remade it once, but it was way too late (almost 6 a.m.). The sun was too high. Nothing special. I want it done at sunrise or just after. My profile is still missing a voice greeting. Coming soon, hopefully. You know what to expect, don't you?
