Saturday, December 15, 2012, 12:09:42 PM- Question
I don't talk about sex as much as I should, considering the type of website this is. So for a change... I presume this question will concern women more then men: ever masturbated (climaxed) and started to cry right afterwards? Tears of happiness? Tears of unhappiness?

Tuesday, December 11, 2012, 5:40:23 PM- Bubble wrap
Bubble wrap was suggested as a way to relieve stress. I have a whole roll at home from the time we moved, it might take a while to get through that My stress reduction training was fantastic though, can't remember the last time I felt so Zen, not even on weekends! Wonderful feeling, I hope I can recapture it after today. I definitely know what I am aiming for though.

Monday, December 10, 2012, 8:22:00 PM- Phew
Deadline postponed and I am saved! I was just about sweating bullets before my boss gave me the happy news Well, not exactly true: when a deadline is so far beyond being possible, you sort of go "oh well" and lose focus entirely... Irony? Tomorrow I have a training session centered around "how to deal with stress" I'm thinking quitting my job is probably the fastest way to deal with stress... Anyone want to donate money to pay my mortgage while I write full-time? I didn't think so

Saturday, December 8, 2012, 9:25:31 AM- So needed
This weekend was a long time coming, rough week at work... Yesterday I worked from 8AM till 8PM, together with a girl who works for me. Why? Because several co-workers, one in particular, didn't do their work on time. And because my boss used my admin assistant for private stuff during work hours, so we 'lost' a lot of time. I didn't have a blood pressure device with me yesterday, but I can assure you that I was definitely tense. And very pissed off. Because the deadline is Monday, and I can see us working till 8PM again, if not later. It's probably one of the most misinterpreted quotes, but in its misinterpretation I do agree: "L'enfer, c'est les autres" - "Hell is other people". On a positive note, when I came home there was a lovely fire burning in the wood stove. I'm really a homebody, I love cocooning at home, and the level of cosiness is definitely high here Anyway, I'm still working on a text for a contest. It's in French, so I need to leave enough time for a correction by a literature-minded native speaker of French, so I'd better get cracking! Je vous souhaite un agréable weekend, messieurs et mesdames, reposez-vous bien

Friday, November 30, 2012, 7:08:15 PM- Explanation
I think a little explanation is needed with regards to my previous blog. When I fell on the asphalt road, I was alone so BF wasn't ungentlemanly in not helping me up. His laughter was after the facts, so slightly less sadistic I was walking alone because we had hiked some steep trails to get to a particular place. I was tired already when we arrived and worried I might fall on the return hike, so I chose the asphalt road instead of the treacherous trail. Yes, I fully understand the irony of the situation Well, on the upside, maybe not annoying BF with my slow hiking and letting him walk twice as fast (not exagerating) was worth three bruises On a side note, here's another "typical me" example: I wanted to apply for a literary scholarship and I needed to mail my application today (snail mail). When did I (hurriedly) finish my application and manuscript? Yesterday evening after a concert. When did I realise I didn't have stamps for abroad? This morning. When did I arrive at the post office? 10 minutes before closing time this evening. Yes, you may roll your eyes

Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 8:18:18 PM- Ups and downs
Notable highlights of my long weekend: - a guided tour of a castle in near darkness: no light in the rooms, only a tiny flashlight wielded by the guide. Well, it was atmospheric not to mention that the guide barely spoke English. Actually, his German was easier to understand than his pseudo-English... - I managed to fall... not on a tricky forest path or anything, no, I fell walking on a perfectly smooth, albeit fairly steep, asphalt road. Nothing broken, but falling forward on asphalt on a downward slope gives a great big whack, I can assure you I felt so stupid, lol, and BF had a good laugh too. I took some pictures of course, which I'll be sure to share later on! And now to unpack and relax a bit, so I'll be well prepared for the undoubtedly grueling work day that awaits me tomorrow... Good night!

Sunday, November 18, 2012, 4:42:52 PM- The good
Blogging about bad stuff is easy, but I shouldn't forget to blog about the good stuff too! Friday was a good day: - a very productive day at work. Despite working late, my evening wasn't ruined, as my self confidence felt boosted: it would seem I am (occasionally) capable of conquering my laziness and concentration issues after all. - feeling good about myself, BF and I decided to try something new so we went to a sushi place nearby. Yum, yum, yum... Definitely to be repeated, amazing how something so simple can taste so good. - at home, we snuggled up and watched Fringe. I was feeling a bit chilly though, so I felt I needed something to heat me up. No, stop right there you dirty minds I wanted a hot drink... And, deciding to skip the more familiar route of hot chocolate, I drank some hot milk with honeyed rum. Delicious, and it definitely warmed me up! Saturday was less productive, as I spent far too much time playing facebook games. That's the way it goes with me, one day of self discipline, and the next day I just 'have to' be lazy But weekends should be lazy now and again. And in the evening we went to a classical music concert and had a drink afterwards. The, against my better judgment (it was almost midnight) we decided to watch Strictly Come Dancing before going to bed. Great fun, but I'm not cut out for this night owl stuff anymore, lol. Today: laziness again on facebook and now I'm working on a application for a creative writing scholarship in the US. What would I do if I got a scholarship to write full time? The simple answer would be: I would write. But it seems they want more explanations For the classical music lovers out there who love the violin: Ysaye is great, can't get enough of his violin sonatas for the moment. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thursday, November 8, 2012, 2:24:42 PM- who would have thought...
... I would cry at work. Alone and hidden in the restroom, but still. It's like my emotional batteries have been drained. Any ideas on how to recharge my batteries? Nothing too expensive please

Wednesday, November 7, 2012, 5:49:07 AM- At last
Phew... I'm on another continent, but even I am glad that this election business is finally over. On a side note, with regards to cultural differences: it's funny how some tendencies are quite different between Europe and the US: US: mistrust of the government, survival of the fittest, 'socialist' is (almost) an insult. Europe: mistrust of the corporate world, solidarity, 'capitalist' is (almost) an insult. I know, it's a very black and white way of putting it as there are variations on both sides, but it's definitely why I cannot imagine living in the US permanently. Universal health care and general social welfare system, gay marriage, abortion, no death penalty, euthanasia... These are a given here and I could not 'stand' to see them absent or questioned, even if they do not all concern me personally.
