Hmmmm...gotta think here! My daughter's school has just phoned, she is being brought home because she fainted and I'm due in work soon. I know it's a no-brainer, I need to stay with her till I can get somebody to watch her but I need to go to work too, or land my boss right in it. She is usually okay on her own (she is 14) but after fainting I can't leave her. I am actually considering trying to do half an hour of each right now, so I'd better get my running shoes on for today!! Right gotta go and make some calls...bye...xxxx

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?" The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with pearls. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked The seamstress replied, "No." The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a silver thimble ringed with sapphires. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, "No." The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy. Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. "Is this your husband?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the seamstress. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!" The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt. Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George Clooney. And so the Lord let her keep him. The moral of this story is: Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honourable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it. Signed, All Us Women *although personally I think I woulda held out for Bradd Pitt too!!** heeeheee

Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 10:56:02 AM- Bored!!
So I was doing some silly surfing around the net and came across a site that supposedly tells what your dreams meant, so since I had a strange dream last night about having to fight a tiger for ages until somebody came to help me, then when they did I actually woke myself up saying, "Well, at least I still have all my fingers left!" So this is what it says.... Words like tiger: They are associated with power, wild beauty and intense sexual force. You will overcome opposition and rise to high position in your way to enjoy luxurious easy and pleasure. Words like fingers: Sensitivity and awareness. It denotes great spiritual research and restless efforts to reach the pinnacle of your ambitions. LOL...don't know about all that but I did check all my fingers were still there when I woke..

Well, surprise surprise, the idiot didn't turn up!! The kids had been waiting since 2 in the afternoon for him and tried all day to get him, he did answer a couple of times and kept telling them, "I will phone you back in half and hour" or "I'm just on my way, I will phone you just before I get there" Then at about half seven he expected them to get on a bus through to Edinburgh on their own to go and meet him. That's when I had to play the baddie (yet again!!!) and say NO WAY....too many weirdo's about at that time of night FFS! So he started going nuts down the phone at them and ended up reducing them both to tears...GRRRRRRRRR What the fuck did I ever see in that guy, I don't know..... Anyway, that was the end of the nice quiet evening we had planned but that's the way it goes. Back to work in a few hours too, so I suppose I will get some quiet me time there...lol

Lunch was great yesterday, it was nice not having to cook for a change, although less than an hour after getting back in the kids were giving it the usual "What's for dinner mum?" lol but I am so used to that now it doesnt bother me. I can't believe that 4 days are nearly over but never mind, the kids are sposed to be going to their dad's tonight....unless he does one of his disappearing acts acts again so we ain't holding our breath for him. Although a quiet last night in with just me n John should be nice, but I suppose we will just have to wait and see now.. TAke care all...xxxx

I do love a really relaxing, lazy Sunday afternoon and right now I am still wallowing neck deep in it. I have done nothing today but slouch around the house and I have loved every second of it! Yesterday I thought I would just get all the house tidying and washing over and done with and I managed to get it all done pretty quickly, so I put some make-up on, got changed and took myself out for the night. I got a little bit drunk (just a little....I mean I wasn't even hung-over this morn!! heehee) but it felt so good to get out for a while! Tomorrow I'm going for lunch with a friend which should be good, although I will have to take the kids with me too since they are on holiday....(AGAINNNN!!!) Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday as much as I'm gonna enjoy mine!!
