I left work 15 minutes early just because I could. You know.. it felt pretty damn nice! Now my weekend is really starting AND I 'm not going in to the office tomorrow!

My morning started early with a meeting with my counselor. Our discussion was very free and open like a breath of fresh air. But the rest of the day I kept thinking about what was said until I just had to turn it off.

This counselor is a woman and at first it seemed strange dissecting my most inmate thoughts but almost immediately it was easy. She might be about my age so maybe she understood my wife better. Funny... she seemed to agree with me. It wasn't wife bashing but for the first time I didn't believe I was the bad guy.

These sessions would be so much more effective if the wife went too. She thinks I'm going so I can be fixed! Ha!

It has been way too long since the last time I saw the sun shining. It won't last for long so what will I do? Damn! I'm going to head outside and cut the grass. Maybe that's an error in judgment.

What this guy would rather be doing is taking it easy and just hold up somewhere in a bed with a willing partner. Maybe in my next life time.

By the way... remember that freezer problem? Fixed it myself!

My son & daughter in law were here today. We all went out for breakfast together where we learned I'm going to be a grandfather again! It wasn't exactly planned! Better them than us!

I'm talking about our freezer not being cols enough. So I just finished pulling away from the wall, cleaning the coils and letting it sit off for about 24 hours to reset all the interior components. At least that's what I learned by Googling. We'll see how that turns out!

Meanwhile we've got all the food from the refrigerator in ice chests in the kitchen. he room looks like a disaster area. Oh man, I am so cheap when it comes to paying for repairs!

What do I do now besides just waiting?

It would have been nice to write that last night I had the best sex in my entire life. You know.. the kind where it takes your breath away as you fall back trying to keep your heart from leaping out of your chest. Just kidding, my sex life still sucks a big one. Meanwhile I'll skip right to the boring shit below.

I finally got that old table refinished and it looks pretty damn good. Was it worth all the work? Most likely NO but still it looks like I paid someone big bucks to do it for me!




It seems I've settled in with the beard and how it fits my face. Hmmm.. And I've gotten used to the feel too so I'm not scratching at it quite so much. But why does it have to be so gray?

Today was one of those days when I felt like I accomplished something at work. A lot got done and it was a good feeling at least until tomorrow when it begins all over again. That's not a bad thing.

The wife is working later today and maybe I'll keep this groove going by heading out and mowing the yard before it gets dark. I am one of the few people in the world that likes to mow. All it takes is a few brief minutes to make the entire house look great... from the outside. Mowing the grass is like therapy to me. Weird?

My wife finally made me stop working around the house. Thank God! I've done enough anyway. Isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest?

Anyway here's the table I've refinishing before I began to restain it. I would have posted the table now but it's not complete yet.

I've decided to keep my beard for a while anyway. Long enough that I had to buy trimmer. I think I'd like to keep it very shorts. What do you think?

Right now I've got several projects so you might so I'm multi-tasking. Lets see... clothes in the washing machine, and I just finished a Home Depot run! It seems I can't go there without buying something wasn't on my list. This time I bought 2 solar powered LED lights for my wife's garden. At $3.80 I thought I'd give them a try.

The table I'm refinishing is nearly complete, I'm on the 2nd stain so it better get done today! It's taken way too long. At least I'm doing this work out back because the weather doesn't get any better than this!

My car tire had a slow leak due to a small nail. Wouldn't you know it that couldn't be fixed and I had to buy a new one! It was pro-rated so it wasn't expensive but I just got these about 4 months ago!

So everyone is waiting to hear what happened. I landed in New Mexico and my wife picked me up at the airport. She really screamed (in a good way) when she saw my beard. She actually liked it which surprised me a little. Our lodging was near "the "Old Town" section and we window shopped most of the afternoon.

Later went out to dinner at a nice place. It was prom night and the restaurant was filled with high school kids all dressed acting sort of out of place. We walked the streets until it was dark. We made our way back to the little place we had for the night which included its own little courtyard.

My wife said she had a surprise for me. Then she pulled out a joint and lit it up. Damn! She did surprise me! We talked about her trip, mostly small talk before she said let's go to bed. Another surprise but it didn't catch me completely off guard.

OMG! She was quite upset with the results. Maybe I had my defenses up too much but there was no big "O" from either of us. It wasn't like I didn't try but who knows... she ended up sitting in the courtyard in the dark. Finally I went out to see what was going on. She was mad at me and feeling hurt! Why? She said something to the effect that after all this time alone I couldn't have an orgasm! What else is new! It's these damn anti-depressants I'm taking.

The next morning we tried again with quick results but no wow factor. The rest of the trip was great but forget about being intimate. However, I do have to give her some credit for trying.

See, I told you there wasn't much to tell in the excitement phase. My sex life sucks a big one but who knows what will happen the future. Last night, Friday, came and went without interest but it didn't bother me... I think I'll take comfortable for the time being.
