My shorten work week is done. Whoops! I forgot.. I'll be in the office for the morning. the rain finally arrived but at least my car got washed so the pollen is gone.

No plans for the weekend! Wish I had some!

Seems everyone wants to know what happened on the trip. It wasn't exactly like you might think. Maybe tomorrow I'll give you a little insight!

Friday, April 16, 2010, 12:26:00 AM- Back From New Mexico

I got back from New Mexico on Tuesday afternoon but today was the first time I had the time to log onto NN. Wow!

This trip was like whirlwind tour of the southwest all done in a weekend. The flight out was the easy part. Driving back was a bitch but it's the only way to see the USA.

The highlight of the trip was accidentally meeting Jeff Bridges (Actor) while while to get into a restaurant in Santa Fe. I recognized his voice before I knew it was him. He spoke to me first. "Are you waiting in line?" Cheap thrills I guess.

But I am happy to be at home even though spring has disappeared and replaced with summer temperatures while I was gone. I only spent Friday afternoon, Sat & Sun there before driving back. Was it worth the trouble. maybe so...

New Mexico is a different world!

Friday, April 9, 2010, 2:58:30 AM- Day 5 and almost packed

My bag isn't packed yet for my flight to New Mexico tomorrow morning but my stuff is folded and the bag is right there. I'm damn close! Tomorrow will be an adventure for sure with no idea what the outcome will produce.

The anxious feeling I have is less than expected. Since my wife left a few weeks ago (to New Mexico) I've gained confidence in myself so it'll be interesting if she picks up on that.

My day at work was on the brink of panic trying to get all my projects completed in time. No, they all didn't get done but not to worry because I'll be back at work on Wednesday.

I still have no idea why I'm growing this beard. Maybe it's my way of rebelling or my way of saying I don't care what anyone else thinks. My daughter thinks it makes me look rustic. Just the thing for New Mexico~!

So here I am at day 4 and I'm beginning to wonder if I should stick it out and continue my beard-a-thon. The clock is ticking until I get to surprise my wife on Friday. OMG! She'll hate it for sure. Maybe that's enough for me to keep it going.

What do you think?

For whatever reason I just decided to grow a beard. Its only been 3 days but like teenager I keep looking in the mirror to see if its changed any in the last 5 minutes.

Meanwhile my departure for New Mexico is looming closer each day. It might be more fun if I was looking forward to going but I'm keeping an open mind. Gee, I wonder what my wife will say when I step off the plane?

Its not what you might think at all so get your mind out of the gutter. Yesterday I decided not to shave and today my face really started to take on an more edgy appearance. Back in the day I used to have a beard but it has been years & years.

It looks looks a bit rougher in person. Now I wonder how long I can keep it up. So this is just 48 hours old!

Keep it growing or shave it off?

Most people have gone to church today but the weather is so nice & I've got nothing else to do so I hauled my table refinishing project outside. I've got my iPod pluged into my boombox and listening to tunes while I work. Not a bad set up.

Saturday, April 3, 2010, 9:13:46 PM- Test Drive

Friday night was just wonderful but I was so worn out I found myself sleeping in until after 8:00 which for me is just unheard of.

My daughter & her husband are visiting for the weekend. He's a car nut so we were discussing cars when I told him about this car I've been looking at for a fun weekend car. Before I knew it my daughter says lets go test drive it. She says "Dad, you deserve it".So we went and I drove it.

OMG! It was fun! Raw power and all wheel drive. I could drive this baby through the ice and snow all winter long if I desired! This Audi is by no means new but certainly pushed all my buttons. I hadn't driven a stick in years but today... I felt like a pro pushing it hard through 6 gears.

My daughter say why don't you just buy it and surprise mom. Now that would be a death sentence for sure. We all went to lunch after the drive thought about the possibilities. I do owe myself something fun in life.... So I might just pull that happy trigger very soon!

A few friends have said it looks like a chick's car. What do you think?

I must be really bored when you start watching the Bio channel. However, I was just channel surfing when I saw they profiling Eric Clapton! That one hour just flew by and I wanted more & more but it was over.

I've seen Clapton in concert maybe 3 or 4 times. He's a legend! I bet I'm one of few people on NN that have seen him as a member of "Cream".

I already said in earlier blogs that I'm an American Idol freak. Tonight I'm so glad they gave they the boot to that DeDe girl. She should have been gone weeks ago.

If fact thy should go ahead and cut the rest in half. It'll be down to about 4 anyway!
