that the only people who really do love high heat and humidity are the ones with central air!!
Oh, I just love summer they say sitting behind closed doors in a very carefully climate controlled environment.
I have an a/c but it only cools the main floor which means it gets hotter than hell upstairs which makes it really fun to sleep. Bring on fall! The humidity is gone, the bugs are gone and the kids have gone back to school!

On a totally different note. I know my 5 year aNNiversary is coming up and I am nostalgic for a few things but the lag we have been getting in chat isn't one of them!! NN, NN-J can you fix that for me before my official aNNiversary? pleaseeeeeeeeee??

very, very, carefully next time you decide to scream for a mod, and then abuse "us" when I/we are afk. When I get back I can and do read up. The abuse you decided to sling at mods in general and the site was observed. I am not required to be here to do your bidding and I would like to have some fun now and then. Continue to hurl your abuse and like today I will take my time to respond or not.
Incase you weren't aware it is easier to be a totally ineffetive mod because then you don't get the complaints like you do when you respond.

30 hours to myself. It is interesting the transformation from being mom to being just me. It does take time and I did enjoy it but damnit I missed the kids too!
Had a friend over last night, he brought dinner I supplied the beer. My neighbour came over and joined us, the evening ended with the 2 of us, my neighbour and I sitting in the garage watching the rain.
I should have grabbed a phone cause the kids were trying to call to say gnight but we got caught up anyway.
Kids got home and both said they had missed their rooms, there is nothing like having your own space.
My lil world is back to normal but the mini vacation served me well.

My son came to me this evening asking for help cause his sock was twirzzled. Without even thinking I fixed it for him. It was after the fact I realized we have developed our own language over the years. As a child growing up and again with my children.
With the help of my sister I have compiled a small list of a billion things we say all the time.

twirzzled - when your socks are twisted on your feet

douver - the remote

cruds - pretty much antyhing gross

gallopping glup - A disease, most likely fatal that you will contract if you do just about anything your mom tells you not to

gribbly bits - the small crunchy bits of fries, onion rings, pretty much anything fried left on the bottom of the plate (damn good eating).

lickins - the stuff you just can't scrape out of a can, plate, bowl that the critter (dog/cat) might like to clean up

tickles - pulp in orange juice, lemonade etc

toofers - teeth, usually in a young child when you are coerceing them to have them brushed

bunnies - boogies in a small childs nose

newendays - the opposite of olden days

Those are just a few words that are part of our vocabulary.

Called me and said he may not be around for awhile. He is in the hospital right now. He broke his leg and had surgery on it last night. They put in a rod. He will be in hospital for a couple of days, they have him on a morphine machine so he isn't in too much pain. After that he is unsure whether he will go home right away or to his parents for a bit to be waited on.

In all of their wisdom the Ontario government decided to fund a special dental care program. I was lucky enough to qualify, so after 8 years, today I went and got my teeth cleaned!! It feels soooooooo damn good. It was so nice to finally get to the dentist that I will be going back twice more this month I have 5 cavities, the dentist said were very unusual. I had been warned during the screening process that I had done some dammage to my teeth from clenching them. It turns out that all 5 of the cavities are on the "points" of my teeth. A result of constant clenching. In 2 weeks I go back for the moulds for my night guard and half of the fillings. (how they are gonna do 2 and a half is beyond me) and the following week I will go back for the rest and my guard will be ready then.
I have always been totally anal about my teeth so in a weird sort of way I am happy to know that even after 8 years the only decay I have isn't due to poor dental hygene but something that is pretty much beyond my control. I am soooooooo aware now that I clench my teeth it wakes me up at night. I am looking forward to the guard but I am doubting you are gonna think I am too sexy in bed now

I don't read it because it annoys the snot out of me. Lord knows I wouldn't be able to write anything more than a very bad limerick if I tried really, really hard.
Right now I am wishing I had that gift, the understanding of it because somewhere locked inside of me is a poem for a very dear friend of mine who has gone through some extrodinarily difficult times recently.
I guess I will just stick with a few simple words.
I love ya no matter what. Stay strong. You are more of a man now than you ever where. And you know what? Popeye arms can be sexy maybe you just need an anchor tattoo?
