The discovery channel hooked me AGAIN! It started off with Daily Planet (a science/news show) This week it is all being broadcast from and about Canada's high arctic.
Next on the list were several shows about the A380. (yup I'm a plane buff)
Combine the 2 shows and I was sorta walking down memory lane.
Sorta:
1. Because it reminded me of all the flights I have made in the past. I love to fly, I love the smell of jet fuel, I love the whine of the engines and I love the feel of the sheer power as they take off.
2. Because it reminded me of all the dreams I had of places I wanted to travel but haven't gotten to yet.
I am not giving up on travelling but more and more I want to see the arctic. The mosquito infested summers when the sun never sets. The killing cold winters when the sun never rises. A landscape with no trees. A place so foreign that they test mars landers there. A place that is truely wild and unforgiving. A place steeped in the history of the people that have survived there for millenia.
A place I want to visit,

I am not usually suprised by the variety of people and their "needs" but this woman just took the cake.
She came into chat and declared her stats to be:
A 19 year old nympho looking for a life partner and father figure for her 7 month old son.
Thought I had seen it all but I guess I haven't.

I had a really lazy day today but I did get the sheets and blankets washed and on the line to dry (I just love the smell of fresh bedding) so who is coming for a sleep over?
My youngest is with his dad so it has been extremely quiet here, I kinda like it!
Bng has declared a food war so now my brain is whirring. I just need a cooler day to get cooking, it's 24c here ffs! Looks like it will be cooling off mid week so the menu is being planned.

for me to find past blog entries. I know they are there, somewhere, I can't have helped but to blog about the distaste in my mouth after having been lied to so blatantly and the harm that went along with the the miss use of information by someone I mistakenly decided to trust.
Long ago and far away I decided to trust an NNer and she blatantly lied to me and then fucked off while the getting was good, concocting any number of stories, leaving me holding the bag.
I would have let sleeping dogs lie, except that this particular person has decided to ressurect herself, lies intact as if no one was ever able to figure it out.
I did not let this just float past me. When she decided that she needed to play in this sand box again I did tell her exactly how I felt. She had the nerve to tell me that she would earn my trust again.
BULLSHIT! same as it has always been. She can't redeem herself with me because she is living a pack of lies. Instead she has decided in some misguided way that the best way to redeem herself is to become "the popular" one.
Unfortunatly so many have bought into her lies and bullshit that you haven't been able to see even the simple discrepancys in her day to day blogs.
Bitter? yes I am.
Sickened by what I am reading on a continuing basis,

I was doing the dreaded laundry today. I bought a new pair of jeans, so I threw them in. A few hrs later when that load was dry I pulled them out to see how they had fared. I held them up to myself and the damn things had shrunk!! Not just a bit but lots!!! I tossed them in the basket with the rest of the clothes furious that I was going to have to take them back.
When the next load was dry I came across yet another pair of jeans that looked vaguely unfamiliar. That was when I realized that the "shrunken" jeans weren't mine at all but belonged to my size 0 daughter. Mine fit just fine, sheesh!

This is usually where the best ideas are born and the subject came up (to be completely honest, I brought it up) of a new idea for around the globe pics. Most of you know of the shirts currently travelling the world. Well that gave me an idea. If you have spent any time at all in chat you have inevitably heard about "Thor"
