Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 12:13:11 AM- This is insane!
Thanksgiving day and the temps here were record breaking hot. We reached 38c with the humidity. This time last year some parts of the province had snow! I am glad I did my turkey dinner on Sat and even that was above average heat. I think I'd have been tempted to chuck the whole mess in th garbage and bbq some burgers if I was cooking today. I am sick of shorts and tank tops. I want to wear sweaters and jeans and enjoy walking through the crunchy leaves and breathing in crisp cool air. Hating this global warming thing, ju

I hate feeling helpless. I want to fix things and make them right again but that isn't always possible. I wish I was there to at least sit and listen, be available to hold a hand or offer a hug. I can't be and that is incredibly frustrating!! Cap and Nita you know where I am if you need me. _________ Friends the new feature. Call me silly because it is a new feature but I just had to click missing friends, just to see if they were there. Of course they aren't but I would have never have known if I hadn't peeked. I don't need a missing friends option. I am well aware of who they all are and in most cases where they are. It seems like a morbid option to me. _____________ On a brighter note we had a wonderful thanksgiving. It was great to see my parents again. I really do have much to be thankful for, it is just sometimes hard to see it. *edit* thank you for calling maggies, it was good to hear that you are holding up ok. musing, ju

This weekend marks thanksgiving in Canada. I am often asked why our thanksgiving is different than the American thanksgiving. Quiet simply it is a completely different holiday in this country. We do not celebrate Columbus or the pilgrims, that is American history not ours. This government of Canada website should shed a little light on what we as Canadians are giving thanks for. http://www.pch.gc.ca/progs/cpsc-ccsp/jfa-ha/graces_e.cfm Thankfull for so many things, ju

I really feel sorry for the the new ppl that decide they are going to check out chat on this amazing amateur porn site. I just took a break to blog because I am thinking it is just too damn funny that there is an arguement going on about the pro's and con's of SPAM, yes the tinned meat and Kraft macaroni and cheese. If you want to get off you might be happiest not interacting with the inmates here, just stick to the pics. Ok I have been gone for 2 mins, have to go find out about the next urgent matter that needs to be discussed. ju

I went for that hike I have been talking about. There isn't as much colour yet as I had hoped so I will have to go again next week. I did however manage to get some good pics. Evidence that colour is coming I haven't got a clue what these are but they sure were pretty. I only saw one large clump of them and the stalks were about 3' tall. This really caught my eye, I had to take a close look to see that it was tiny fungus. I thoroughly enjoyed taking a leisurely stroll with nature. I have to think of doing this more often. ju

The preparing for winter instinct seems to have kicked into high gear. I went to the store today for a "few" things, came back so loaded down I think my arms have grown a few inches. Prepared a big breakfast for she bop and she never showed up, so I had to eat it Then I realized I had forgotten a few necessities in my rush to stock up on sale items. Back to the store I went. Came home and got totally disgusted with my bedroom window so I had to tear it apart and wash it. The wasps seemed to think it was a cool place to hang around, so I had to commit a few murders to complete the task. I finally sat down at the computer to relax for a bit and was heading towards scrabble when leNNy signed in. I asked him if he wanted to play so away we went. We didn't get very far because he was having connection issues. That ended up being a bit of a blessing because while sitting there I remembered I had forgotten a few more things. Off to the store I go again! In between all of this shopping, murder and window cleaning I had the kitchen totally spotless TWICE! Dinner was prepped and ready to go by 1pm. I really do love the cooler days of fall, they give me an energy that is completely lacking during the hot humid days of summer. Now if I could just stop creating jobs for myself I might actually be able to take that hike with my cam that I have been talking about for a week now. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so that might be the perfect opportunity to don my rain coat put the cam in my pocket and go for a hike, pretty much guarenteed I won't be running into too many others that way. Affected by the seasons but not SAD yet, ju

Monday, October 1, 2007, 1:31:20 AM- Suzie homemaker
It was that kind of a day. The weather was perfect for motivating me. I got all the bedding in the wash early. The first comforter was on the line by 10am. I made pea soup, apple pie and spaghetti. Barbequed burgers for lunch. The garbage is out the beds have been remade with wonderful line dried on a fall day sheets and blankets. Dishes are done, lunches are made and one kid is tucked into bed. My cold is back with a vengance so I think I will hit the hay at a reasonable time. Looking forward to sniffing my sheets, ju

I want those private moments, even tho they may take place in public, where you share a word, a look, a smile or out and out laughter that only the two of you will understand. Big sigh, ju
