how totally and completely confused I was when I first got online. If I had to listen to one more "it is so easy" I'd have been kicking some teeth in.

is my favourite colour but lately I have been noticing some shades of it aren't so pretty. I have to admit I do NOT understand the jealousy that is and probably always has been here. It has just been coming to my attention more over the past few months. Tonight it slapped me right across the face and suprised the hell out of me.
It has never been a secret that I have met some NNers nor has it ever been a secret that we have met as friends. Almost all of those meetings have been documented with pics one of which recieved a "WTF?" as a comment, nope we weren't nude, suprise suprise!!
I was however totally pissed off tonight!!
I was speaking to a friend in chat, yes a friend that I have met. We were catching up and talking of swimming and camping etc. We weren't disrupting the room we were just chatting so it suprised me when we were told to take it to PRV!! I was shocked! There was NO reason what so ever to have made that comment other than sheer jealousy that we had so much in common and were talking about it.
It really makes me wonder where peoples brains are, to think that two people catching up in a CHAT room are told to take it private.
Be jealous all you want of me, it matters not. I have been here for 4+ years and yes, I do know many people that you have probably never met. However if you decide to get over your liking for particularly putrid shades of green you too may make new friends and yes you might also get to meet them in real life and form a bond that others will never understand.

Hang on a sec I have to clean my monitor, WHY do kids feel the need to touch the screen?
Ok I'm back and can see.
The temp right now is 40C or 104F and it is humid as hell! My hair is having a field day doing its own thing grrrrrr.
On the upside my daughter left today on her grade 8 grad trip and they have gone north to a camp where they will be swimming, canoing and rock climbing etc. This is perfect weather for that because it will help to warm the lake. Keep in mind this is Canada and the ice went out not long ago.
Also, I have 2 small cactus plants that I have had for almost 20 years I know they are a lil stunted because of the environment they live in and I am also aware that cactus does grow slowly but this is a real treat for me!!
I have only seen one of them attempt to flower once before and it didn't last. I think the heat is having a positive effect on it because there isn't just one but three blooms!

I am a what you see is what you get kind of person, and because of that I have been blindsided more than a few times. I assume others thinking will follow my own. Call me naive really, because when somethings happen I really am blown away, my brain just wasn't working in that direction. I have always been straight forward and honest about who and what I am and yet I am still occasionally knocked for a loop.
I can't and won't change who I am but I think I will have to be a little more cautious about the thinking of others.
What I say is what I mean, do NOT read anymore into it.
Having said that I must say that I do value the friends I have made greatly. Just realize please that if there was more I would have stated my intentions.

yup 2 blogs one day. Chatting with Aussiemale and he had me listening to ABC Australia. I was loving the accents and the programming was pretty damn good too. Next thing I knew I was hearing about Donna from Canada from Ian. How cool!

I had a blast this past weekend! Maggies arrived Fri night and we were pretty mellow he had had a long day of travelling. (3,000 miles) Sat we got up and eventually got going. He didn't see much of Canada but of course I took him to the beer store He like so many others was totally blown away and had to get his cam to take pics.



That is me in my fave store. I was in one of 5 or 6 aisles.

Sat. Cap and Nita arrived. Lots of beer lots of food and best of all lots of good conversation. They had planned to leave Sun around lunch time but the beer was going down well so they opted to stay for another night.
Cap was making beer can chicken for dinner and I got really hopefull about a photo op when I was told that duct tape was going to be needed to bbq this chicken. Alas disappointment set in when he figured it out and I had to put both my cam and the duct tape away.
I had the best weekend I have had in a very long time, watching Maggies learning about Canada was really a blast and I am sure he now believes the stereo type of Canadians being huge beer drinkers althought he didn't get to hear many of us say "eh" I am so looking forward to going north this summer to see cap and nita.
A good time was had by all

Yeah I said STIBBYS PICKLES, google are you listening?
I have another NN weekend planned. Maggies is flying in tomorrow night, I can't wait to meet him he is such a facinating man. Then early afternoon Sat cap and the Mrs will be arriving.
The plan was for cap to bring me some more STIBBYS pickles since I have been suffering severe withdrawl not having them. Commercial pickles pale in comparison. Off he went to the STIBBY store only to be told that they are sold out!! The shame of it all! Apparently someone had bought the last of them to ship to the US and there will be no more untill harvest grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Cap being cap started a search trying to locate dear old Mr STIBBY incase the old bastard is hoarding pickles in his basement or something. He came up empty handed, so I decided to google STIBBYS there are only 2 links under that name and suprise, suprise they both linked to cap's blog at which point I cracked right up and told him to google STIBBYS and click on either of the 2 links that show up. He lost it laughing and of course I had to ask for his autograph since he is so famous
Not to be out done I had to do a STIBBYS blog to see if I show up on google too
