bus o'clock. As usual I went out to stand on my corner to meet a kids bus. My daughter came home and my neighbour was on her way out to meet her daughter (they ride the same bus) and this white work van comes screaming around the corner. It pulled in about 20' away from me narrowly missing killing us all. Out jumps this guy arms wide open, I knew him right away we had a bone crushing hung, my ribs still hurt. It was well after that that my friend and daughter recognized him. An old neighbour, I have missed them so much. I did get to see her and the kids last summer but this is the first I have seen him in many years.
In the broken english we are accustomed to speaking he is going to keep in touch and come take us away or bring the whole family here because we need to connect.
He was staring at my daughter and was amazed at how tall she is and he remembered that she cried when she found out they were moving.

Today was really warm again, like yesterday, about 20C. Last night I went to bed and left all the windows WIDE open. This morning at 5am I woke up freezing!!! I stayed cuddled up in bed untill I HAD to get up at 7:15 at which time it had warmed up to a balmy 1c.
I don't mind the cold when I am expecting it but that wasn't a fun way to wake up.

I have been incredibly down in the dumps about money, what else these days? I still don't have a damn clue how I am going to make it through the next 2 weeks.
BUT!!!
A friend that we used to camp with lots told me this aft that her daughter wants to go camping with us again! She now has a b/f and they have a car and a truck so this is totally doable!!!
So.... not only are we going north to see cap in July we now have a trip to our fave place on the planet to look forward to in Aug/Early Sept.

2 blogs. I have been spending less and less time here each day. There will always be something for me here, new ppl to meet etc. But NN has lost its lustre for me. Been there done that seen it all and more than I have ever dreamt of. I am not ready to leave........ yet, but im sick and tired of this place. Plain and simple it is repetative.
Day after day the same ppl are whining about the same damn things they have been whining about for the past few years. I join chat and it is like a soap repeat ( which the TV stations are wise enough to avoid)
The same ppl are always in woe is me mode, the same ppl are in perv me or I am going to leave mode. Check the forum it is exctly the same as it has always been, change the names perhaps but it is the same shit diff day.
This place ceased to be fun years ago and ceased to be even remotely interesting even before that.

spring day today, not too hot, not to cold, brilliantly sunny and windy. The day just begged me to wash all the bedding and hang it on the line to dry. It smells so damn good I am looking forward to crawling into bed, even if it is alone. Nothing beats the smell of fresh sheets, well, after hot and heavy sex sheets smell damn good too, lets call it a tie.
Early this afternoon a package arrived. You can now add almond stuffed olives to my list of addictions. Damn they are good! Thank you Perky!!!!
I am starting to think that I need to travel with a U-Haul truck to visit all of my NN friends, so I can fill it with goodies to drop off and bring home. For the amount we all spend on postage I bet this is financially doable.
This afternoon cap and I spent some time talking a musical walk down memory lane. Nothing like a song to bring a time long past back with amazing clarity.

The package with a few things that Dawn wanted me to have. One of them is the pic of the ballerina (remember her from theme week?) with "JuJu" Salzburg Austria Sept 2006 written on the back. It is in a beautiful frame. That frame contains the most precious thing Dawn could have left me, love. Sometime fairly recently she had picked that picture up and kissed it. When her friend noticed that, she turned the glass around to preserve the kiss. When it arrived I carefully took the frame apart so I could see it, then very carefully put it all back together.
That kiss is a true treasure just like my friend Dawn.
