Last night I dreamt I was meeting Dawn's friend, the reason is unclear now and it does't really matter. I was at the airport waiting and as the friend got off the plane so did Dawn. We grabbed each other in the biggest tightest hug! Everyone around us seemed to be oblivious to us hugging and talking then she said to me
"You know this looks strange to everyone watching you because no one else can see me"
After that the dream became a little muddled but the hug and the talking were so clear!
Was it just a dream? Maybe, maybe not. Either way I don't care.

Angel and Tele came to Canada yesterday afternoon. Tele has been promising to cook for me for the last 4 years, so off we went to get the supplies. First stop The Beer Store. Tele was in heaven, we followed him through the whole store before settling on beer. Next was a stop at the grocery store. One of the things we needed was milk. When I grabbed the bag of milk the looks on tele and angels faces were absolutly hilarious!
Tele whipped up a huge pot of gumbo which was sooooooooooooooo good. The beer was flowing and we had a great time! Standing at the bus stop this morning my friend told me I smelled like a brewery
I had so much fun it was kinda sad to see them go.

many of you in southern climates will not understand this at all but my northern friends will immediately know what I mean.
Warm weather means pasty faces you haven't seen since last fall (unless you caught a glimpse of eyes all bundled up in lord knows what to keep you warm.) have resurfaced. Spring really is a time of renewal. It is a time to get reaquainted with those you haven't seen in the past 6 months, unless they were a shadowy figure out shovelling in the dark at the same time you were.
Spring and warm days are a chance to get reaquainted, to pick up where you left off and to share stories that you just didn't have time to share in sub zero temps.
Today was the first "hot" day of the season (31C) and I got caught up with all of my neighbours.
Loving the warm for now and dreading the hot which will send us all back into hibernation (this time with AC)

yes it is all about give and take but I have a favour to ask. I know in the winter we Canucks send you Americans totally unwanted arctic air and in the summer you send us totally unwanted gulf air. All of that would be fair play EXCEPT we send you clean cold air and you send us untold amounts of pollution resulting in huge numbers of smog days.
Tomorrow is the second or third smog day this season and it isn't even the end of May yet.
Can you clean up your act a bit?

and he was lamenting the fact that his name doesn't appear on the lifers list. Being the nosey parker I am I had to go for a look. Home page here I come, scroll down to the lifers link and that is where I stopped and cracked right up!

And I am in a really good mood!! I had use of a car today and got everything I needed to done. I have so much food I had to tell my son he couldn't have any watermelon because there is no room in the fridge to store it once it is cut. Perhaps what I am most excited about is a job possibility very close to home, it would only be part time but a great way to ease back into the labour force after so many years. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
