i think i might actually have one of those "meet for margaritas, come over and have a beer, let's go see a movie" type of friend dum's been wanting me to get. LOL

it's the new decorator, K. we got along quite well when she was doing my hair, and today, while we were decorating, we were both bitching about how we never do anything fun for halloween. and @ the same time, we both said "i jus wanna dress slutty and go out n dance" hahahahahahaha so yea, since this is her first halloween w/o her 4 year old daughter (that divorce thing again) she said i simply MUST go with her, as if i don't, she'll be all depressed and stuff. and it'll be my fault.

she's already decided on her costume. seems she found a cute lil red wif white polka dotted dress she's gonna mod, some fishnets, some ears, and voila. slutty minnie mouse.

we were both pondering what my costume should be. till her ex dropped off her lil girl. i ask her what she's gonna be for halloween, she tells me. then i ask her what she thinks i should be....

"a mummy" was the reply (gods, this lil girl will give you an overdose of CUTE) K and i make eye contact. fuckin PERFECT! few rolls of gauze, ma boots, and bam! a slutty mummy. LOL

hopefully dums'll come with us. but if he don't, ah well. i'm still going =)

maybe the cosmos is punishing me because i've been TOO happy lately. or maybe i clubbed baby seals in a past life. whatever it is....gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

this morning, found out one of ma biggest NN crushes (not to mention an all 'round fun dude to chat wif) psychic warrior, is gone without a word. =( if he happens to see this, hope all is well and drop me a line sometime. (i won't even ask for that vid ya promised....maybe)

then today at work..since we're slowing down business wise, seems ONE of the bosses wants to take me and new girl BOTH down to part time. 20 hours a week. ffs... i can understand 30-35...but 20?!? lucky boss #2 is the one in charge of the deco section, and she 's me. but keep ya fingers crossed anyway.

i gotta do a load of laundry, hopefully hop in the shower, after i'm all clean n smooth, ima take some pics. nuffin cheers me up more than postin =)

dum's uber talkative tonight. in his sleep that is. and everytime i get up and get ma phone set to record, asshole stops!!

just been a depressing "weekend" for me. we went to see "paranormal activity" last night. while it didn't out n out SUCK, it was still not nearly as terrifying as i was lead to believe. come ON hollywood! could ya PLEASE make a good scary movie??? is it too hard??? i want another movie that scared me as much as "the shining" or "poltergeist".

then today, me n dums were sposta go to the tatt shop and have a sit down with the artist and discuss ma tatt. but i wound up bein lazy and takin a nap, and now dum's all "ghahhhh i don't wanna do nuffin" and since i don't like driving in the city by myself...*shrug* ain't gettin that tatt in time for my birthday.

and i guess dum's mood ALSO means we ain't carvin pumpkins tonight either =( i was really lookin forward to that. something i've not done but like...once in my life.

just a normal day. new girl called in sick, so me n d. tackled everything and got a ton done. i'm going to have a short week. WHOOHOOO! kills the paycheck, but damn if it's not nice having a sunday off wif ma dums.

seems new girl seriously needs the hours, and being sick today will put a hurting on her. so she asked if she could have one of my days. since i've already got overtime, i don't mind.

me n dums are gonna go see "paranormal activity". one of the girls i work with saw the midnight screening last night. she said she's never been more terrified in her life, and that 3 ppl walked out in the middle, saying it was too much. we'll see, shall we? (and YES, depot, i KNOW it'll give ma brain more fodder for nightmares....but i LIKE being scared =P)

but, just for a refresher..and stealin an idea from readers digest:

1. Your special occasion is NOT the only birthday, anniversary, retirement, going away, coming home, baby/wedding shower planned for this weekend. Please don't think your occasion will be put to the head of line. First ordered, first done.

2. Would you expect your friends to drop everything and come to your party on 4 hours notice? Then why expect us to have your perfect cake in that amount of time?

3. Be specific. If you want the writing UNDER the picture, say so. NEVER assume we bring our crystal balls to work and can read your mind.

4. If you want sage green/watermelon pink/rose red or RED red, bring a sample of the color with you. what some consider sage green, others consider pine green.

5. No, i'm sorry. but i'm not hiding duff back here with me. cakes shaped like (insert inane object here) take amazing amounts of time, planning, and materials. And unlike those amazing cakes you see on T.V., ours go out the door for under $3,000 AND without the 2 year waiting list.

6. Wedding cakes? How long have you been together? Since your cake will be the 2nd most focal point of your "big day", shouldn't you spend more than 10 minutes, the weekend BEFORE you tie the knot on it? Minimum 1 month notice will get you a better cake.

7. If we suggest something, or tell you YOUR idea won't work so well, trust us. While you've been dreaming up impossible cake creations, we've been in the kitchen...actually MAKING them. We know what's best.

8. Everyone knows the cake is usually one of the most important parts of your event. For every 100 complaints we hear, we MIGHT get ONE compliment. I KNOW i'm good, but an e-mail, a phone call, or (gods forbid) a handwritten letter, is a cake decorators most prized possession. (seriously, we hang them on the wall. there's 5 for this year =/)

blondie isn't in the deco section anymore. which means SOMEONE'S gotta be the fuck-up... *waves her hand round wildly* ME ME ME PICK ME! gahhh....lol... s'okee, only "screwed up" two cakes last weekened, and i have pics of both. negating what was said by the custo 'bout them. SO THERE! assholes! ma camera

i love hulu. i'm never home when hells kitchen was on, but i managed to watch the whole series online, to find out ma fave, dave- the one armed bandit- won!!! whooohooooo! go dave!

i think as we get closer to the holidays, ma homesickness is growing in equal proportions. got to talk to my big brother last weekend and we spent over an hour laughing and catching up. *sigh* i miss em all

a couple of ma friends are needing every ounce of energy and positive thoughts possible, so if ya got some so spare, throw em up to the wind, She'll get em to where they need to be.
