anyone heard of it??? i hate it.. it's the washington assessment of student learning... you can't graduate without it... starting of course in the graduation year of 2008..

kids start learning about wasl in kindergarten... learning is geared to pass the wasl... they even took cursive writing off the curriculum for more wasl teaching time...okay don't know if that's totally true (taking the writing off is true) .. but sure the hell seems like it..

the kids start taking this at various grades... but get 3 chances to pass 4th, 7th, and 10th.... don't know what is gonna happen to the 10th graders in the future but for now they can re-test in 11th and 12th....

alan has failed all portions of this test... repeatedly....one exception he passed the written portion in 10th grade.. so they were getting ready for his imminent failing of it again.. not sure what they were going to do.. something about going to a board of educators....

well guess what???? he passed .. he fucking passed... came in the mail today...he's carrying that piece of paper around like it was gold...i'm totally doing a hapy dance... and WASL can kiss my ass.... one more step closer to graduating....

has anyone ever thought of ... or has anyone ever printed out their blogs??? to me this is like a journal.. i surely don't put all my thoughts here but i do put myself out a lot as far as my life...

i see that some blog and then erase it ... i won't erase anything that has happened in my life..it happened and i blogged it for a reason.. i am thinking about printing it out though just in case...some may know some may not.. my account was deleted a few years back .. it was like my scrap book had been burned ... i think i just need to back it up...

my thoughts were all good... depots blog just got me wondering about moms and their children ....kids that a parent does wonder about their sexual orientation...

do all moms wonder??? or do all moms really know and still wonder?? and then do the children know how much time is spent by the parent thinking... i think about all my kids for sure...but i think of al more... stuff like does he know...does he know that he can talk to me about anything.. i tell him all the time.... when he's called a derogatory name at school how does he really feel....why doesn't he tell me when that happens...does he know that i question and does that bother him....i think about when he was a little boy..barbies always barbies...i think about how adulthood will be for him...i think about how he's only ever hung out with girls... always...
and then i wonder... and while typing this i had another thought...i've never ever questioned bob and tikka's sexual preference... did i just give myself the answer??

al's a super great kid.... maybe someday you will all know him...cause i'm sure he'll be a famous hairdresser to the stars!
