NOT. Yup two blogs one day but had to share this.
I borrowed a friends car today to do a bit of running around, it has one of those remote thingys that locks and unlocks doors. Anyway, I had my son with me and after about 2 stops I thought I have the hang of this thing I'm cool!
We came out of a store and were walking toward the car and I pushed a button (thinking I was unlocking the car) and said to him go get in. He cracked right up and then I did too.
I had hit the button to open the trunk.

Wayyyyyyyyy humid out today and gross. After trying to get a hold of a friend who said she would help put in the a/c my daughter and I figured we would give it a shot. I wasn't sure cause that sucker is so damn heavy, but we did it we got it up from the garage. Next was where the hell are the instructions? Nowhere to be found of course! No matter thats why we have the internet. After screwing around (literally trying to figure out where these screws were and where they were supposed to go) I said screw it! It's in and doing quite fine without the screws.

I just went through the whole blog list, as I do every day and had a great read, as usual, but the list seemed FAR too short today. I wanna keep reading! Maybe its the rain that has put me in this mood.

It is supposed to be unbearably hot and humid this week. Right now it is slightly chilly and while I am enjoying it I am sitting here in a jacket. If only I could save this feeling for later.

we had some pretty severe thunderstorms pass through. I had been online talking to some of my favourite people, but left due to the intense lightening. I was however rather productive with my time and was thinking of my kitchen pals while I was making yet one more meal out of left over turkey. This is the resulting dinner.



After dinner I went out and sat on the steps for a bit and thought I would share perhaps the favourite part of my garden.

for the first time in a month I have some time to myself, what did I end up doing? Trying to unclog a drain all day! I have a neighbour coming over after dinner to give me a hand.

he/she is the god of the kitchen. I know of no other place I can go and be totally accepted, ask for help to get out of a funk and be granted that wish immediately. There is no other place that is as accepting of a wide variety of ppl and all of our insecurtities and foibles. There is no other place where ppl are welcome no matter their condition or state of mind. I have never been to a place that is as uplifting and, well, lets face it downright funny as the kitchen. That being said there is also no other place on this planet that has more respect for people as individuals and their rights to privacy as there is there. I treasure the "kitchen"
You also have to expect to have your ass kicked for your own damn good in there! but you know that that ass kicking ( or pinky probing ) is all done with love.
