and you would think I would know that after having lived here for 40+ years but NO!!! There is a reason kids here get March break instead of spring break. Spring, real spring is still almost 2 months away. Every year I fall into the trap tho, only X number of days till spring. I wish they would stop lying to me.

The kitchen is almost done!!! There are a few spots to touch up but it is all back together. It looks damn good if I do say so myself. I will never EVER paint with red again!!!

Precipitation will begin this afternoon in the form of snow. The snow will be heavy at times and likely be mixed with ice pellets. Up to 15 centimetres of snowfall are possible. Additionally strong and gusty winds this evening will result in occasional near zero visibilities in blow snow. During the late evening and overnight hours the precipitation is expected to change to freezing rain. 2 to 4 hours duration..With amounts of about 5 millimetres..Are likely before the precipitation changes briefly to rain Friday morning.

how quicky time passes. Not that long ago, or so it seems, my friend and I were worried about the kids starting kindergarten. This year the girls have both hit puberty. My daughter will be starting high school in the fall. It is really odd to think that in just 4 years I will be the parent of an adult.
Enjoying the rites of passage but wondering how the hell did I get here?

My favourite time waster is broken and has been since yesterday. No scrabble for me I could be doing chores or finally finishing the kitchen but I just want to be lazy.

I know two blogs in one day. I was so excited this morning I just couldn't wait to share my news.
It was also snowing this morning. That really big flake, wet stick to the trees kind of snow. As soon as I got the kids out the door I grabbed my cam and headed for the bike path hoping to finally get the snow pics I have been waiting for.
It was sooooooooo peacefull, all sounds muted and the snow coming down like crazy. Other than a few animal prints my foot prints were the only ones visible.
I am really glad I went when I did. I was only gone for an about hour but by the time I was getting close to home the snow had turned to drizzle and only a few hrs later the snow had melted off of the branches.
