just a hella frustrating day. =/

yesh...i'm still doin the cake thing...


lately it's been more drawing than creating.

with both of us stressed about the opening, me working two jobs, and my dum putting 200% of mind, body, heart, and soul into the shop, we really haven't had any of that "us" time.

but there are special little moments...that so make up for it. Yes, at the shop, he is THE MAN. i can question a decision, but...usually get the same answer. lol. yes, we butt heads, i keep my comments to myself, but give him *those* looks.

but out of nowhere, he'll walk up, put an arm around me, pull me close and kiss me. he'll stop mid-stride to look back at me and tell me how proud of me he is. he never EVER fails to tell me he loves me, and to drive safely when i leave for the bakery.

and the one thing that kept me coming back to chat with him some 3 years ago.. even as he lays half asleep, more than half wracked outta his mind in pain from his back.. i come home...

and he asks me how my day was.

i suppose i'm just uber sappy lately. it's all coming together. our lives are fully converging... we'll be married next year, we're opening his shop, we're doing it. all the things we talked about late at night when our heads were nestled into the pillows, and our bodies screamed for sleep but our minds and hearts craved each others...

i love you baby. and i'm so proud to be called your woman.

what a day! so i'm gettin 'round 4-5 hours sleep a night now.. **shrugs** oh well.

had a BUSY morning... met with our media consultant, to make the final call on the mailers. we've signed on for a one time 30,000 home drop. a bit more $$ than we'd budgeted to spend, but WELL worth it. the mailers are about 6"x5"..glossy..professional... just.... 10 types of bad-motherfuckin-ass. me and dum made QUITE a few changes over the original mailer the graphic artist came up with. my input resulted in the pink background... and having dum listed as owner/rider. there are actually a few more changes we made AFTER seeing this proof...but...i'm so proud of it. i gotta give props to ma computer guru, scooby...he was able to change it from a pdf to a jpeg. he's also been the driving force behind me actually getting the computer related aspect down. remind me tomorrow and i'll tell you about the lovely plastic pastry keeper that waged war on my right eye...

but i digress...this is the NEW TOR mailer!!!

well, we have interwebz at the shop now, YAY! i even set up the wireless alllllllllll by myself. well...ok..i was on the phone with tech support for like 30 minutes...but i still did it, dammit. dum's got 80% of the work benches built and in place, and i've been painting them.

this morning i get here before dum does.. and settle down on the floor to continue painting the legs/front posts for the work benches safety yellow...dum finally shows up and i get up to show him how far i've gotten...but..OMG...i can't get up! i dunno if it was sitting on the concrete crosslegged for a good bit of time, or maybe something i did last night when me n dum..*ahem*... but my left hip..where the ball and socket joint are, hurts SO freakin bad.

i'm walkin with a limp, and now waiting for the excedrine to kick in before i try getting back down to finish painting.

>.< oh...and the AC's still broke...which, with our weather, means it's 90F INSIDE my office. i'm a great big puddle of safety yellow sweat ATM. can only have my laptop on for a short while before i start worrying about it getting TOO hot. =(

oooOOo! almost forgot! our media consultant (who's doing our phone book listing/internet listing/ and mailers) is really really cute! i was able to keep ma tongue from lolling out. ish.

well, that site that had my stolen pictures posted on it has STILL not replied to my e-mails. so, i took some pictures, and created my OWN account.


i wrote on it's "wall", and commented on all 3 of the. then i sent it a message. letting it know it was to take down the pics, because if i logged on and saw that it had been logged in, and NOT taken them down....

well...i'd just have to blog it's link here, and sic ya'll on it. also told it that NN has the highest quality of pervs, and there's no corner of the internet it can post my pics and NOT be found.

oh how i miss you guys!

i've been splitting my time pretty unevenly between the new shop, the bakery, and my baby lizard. which, unfortunately, means little to no NN time. =(

everything's moving along nicely tho. we should have internet @ the shop monday, but i leave monday afternoon to go visit meaniebutt and won't be back home till wed. evening. *sigh*

i've got a wholeeeee day off tomorrow, which means most of it will be spent cleaning Ares' cage, and catching up on some much needed sleep. dummy even said i could take the day off from T.O.R., but I can't let him have ALL the fun *snickersnicker*

missing you guys like crazy and hope all's well in each of your lives. i think this is the longest i've gone without chatting and/or blogging since i lost the sheve account and didn't have internet for a week! =(
