so last week i took an order for a two tier graduation cake. no problems, right? the grad want's fondant. no problems, right? apparently BIG problems. as i get to work and both head decorator D and ma girl K are supremely pissy... them: "they just want the decorations in fondant, right?" me: "no, they want the cake iced in fondant, and the decorations in buttercreme" them: "we don't ice cakes in fondant." me: "why not?" them: "because we don't have the proper equipment OR the training." me: "fine. i'll do it."
them: *look at each other with that WTF-ever look*

proper equipment? all ya need is fondant, and a fuckin rolling pin. and training?!? well...are we fucking waiting for the motherfucking fondant FAIRY to come teach us how??!?!?



yea. i did it. and it looks GOOD dammit. if i say so myself.

and some forshadowing.. i did a cake for a soldier set to return home tomorrow. he's gonna meet his 10 month old daughter for the first time. *happy sigh and wipes away a lil tear* i did manage to sweet talk boss-lady into giving the cake free of charge. TWO EPIC WINS in one day =D

but...i haven't forgotten. nor will i ever.

i will give fair warning... within 10 seconds i was bawling...

NOW THIS?!?!? i swear upon all that's holy, if i don't get home soon...i WILL hijack a plane.

~my hours at work haven't really improved. but, good thing, i don't care. ima get ma tax refund, buy lil sis something EPIC for getting her 2nd degree in the same amount of time i SHOULD have gotten my first, and prolly blow the rest on ink.

so dummy's been threatening to teach me to weld for a while now.. yesterday was my first lesson. i didn't do half bad, if i say so myself. dummy said i took to it like a catholic schoolgirl to porn. heh..

i was doing very well at first, laying nickles like a champ (you fabricators will know what that means) but after a bit the piece of shit machine i'm learning on got too hot, and i had to stop.

still didn't do that badly!

yes...i worked today. and yes...it was dead as a doornail. not to mention one of the closers called in "sick". my fuckin ass. so i covered her shift too. =/

the only redeeming quality of today...was a cake. and not just any cake...a cake for ME. lol...AND one i had to do so covertly, what would normally only take me 45 mins to draw on, took me over an hour n a half, cuz any time anyone came into cake world, i had to hide it. you should understand when you see it. and if you know i work for a VERY christian bakery. (i know, i know, i don't know how i got hired either)

so here it is, my masterpiece. i'll take better pics of it tomorrow, dum's asleep and i can't turn on the light.

just a jumble of things, really.

works, bleh...i gotta find a second job. since i put in ma two weeks notice, then took it back, they'd already filled my position with "blondie", and it's not really fair to raise her hopes, then take it away. so i'm lucky to get 30 hours a week now. which just ent cuttin it.

my parents are getting their marriage "blessed" by the catholic church tomorrow. which is cool. funny, cuz i guess the last 20 years didn't count in the eyes of the church, but....whateva. wish i could be there..

i love springtime. zooming down 70 with the windows down, sunroof open, and some metal blasting full volume above the wind....pure happiness...
